DO NOT USE TRAVEL BY JEN! This travel agency is shady, unprofessional, and seems to be scamming people for money. We booked a great looking Costa Rica trip and were even willing to deal with the terrible flight and itinerary options they booked on our behalf. Fast forward a few months, we're mid-COVID surge and traveling out of country to a high-risk destination is not an option. We send a cancellation request in writing that goes unanswered by our agent, Samantha. We send another follow-up which she replies with us getting a travel credit. My best friend and I booked an all inclusive vacation to Cancun through Travel By Jen and although the website looks a little sketchy, I can promise you this service is totally legit! They set us up with an amazing resort and took care of everything (flights, transportation to and from airport, flight changes, etc) and were very responsive to all of our questions! They got us an amazing deal for our trip, I still can’t believe I was able to go on an all inclusive 6 day trip for less than $1,000. Terrible company and customer service, looks like it's only one customer representative and she's really sketchy, I receive an emails from them with all kind of deals cheap deals and when I spoke to her all those deals is not available and she's trying to sell it something what is double priced and really expensive then what you receiving.

My husband and I just got back from a wonderful Costa Rica vacation booked by Jenny. Our plans were pretty last minute and she was extremely accommodating down to every last detail from restaurants to activity recommendations. We weren’t able to get a car rental when looking online but she was able to set us up with an affordable 4 wheel drive 9 day rental that made our trip very smooth. After some beach time in Nosara and an adventure filled few days in La Fortuna, we worked our way up to Chayote Lodge in Naranja, a city in the clouds, as per recommendation. Our trip to Costa Rica was absolutely fabulous. The hotels were all clean with friendly staff and wonderful amenities. The extra activities we booked were 1/3 the regular price with Travelbyjen. Others on the excursions could not believe how little we payed. Suzanne DiBenedetto at Travelbyjen gave us excellent advice on planning our trip and offered upgrades that were affordable and worth every penny. We did meet people who did not upgrade and were very happy with their trip as well. I highly reccomend booking with them!

We just had the most amazing trip to Costa Rica, thanks to Travel by Jen! I can't recommend this company highly enough. We traveled with another family of our friends— 4 adults and 4 kids total. The price was unbelievable — I've *never* seen a deal this good: flights, hotels, car rentals, and breakfast were all included. The three hotels we stayed at were lovely and charming in their different ways — the first had a hot tub in the room with hot springs, pool, and a great restaurant for meals; the second had bungalows walking distance from the beach; the third was up in the cloud mountains

Firstly— I booked a trip online, not realizing how unaccomodating the flights were that I had chosen. Suzanne, our travel agent, called me almost immediately and helped me book a better option, pointing out that we had a bit of a drive once we landed. She knew the itinerary and trip well. Best 42nd birthday a girl can ask for. Accommodations staff and hospitality of resort was impeccable. My travel agent Samantha Sloane is such a sweetheart and was very detailed at what I wanted, and made travel arrangements with airlines and transportation extremely easy while my 7 yr old accompanied me! Very disappointed with our experience with Travel By Jen. We found a great deal to Cabo at Krystal Reflect, and Nick booked our reservation. He was efficient at first, and always replied pretty quickly, but any time I had to call him for a modification or a question, he was very rude and snippy. (My friend also had the same experience with Susan.) They are short with you, have an attitude, and not very helpful. Our flights were delayed, and then cancelled. We called the emergency help line and waited, and waited to get a call back. The resort was only operating at 50% staff, and therefore all restaurants

STAY AWAY! DO NOT USE THEIR SERVICES! Had major communication issues while using them to accommodate my vacation. They take zero responsibility for lack of communication and blame the airlines or you for any issue. In my case I missed my flight and booked on another airline to get my vacation. Spoke to them and sent them my new flight confirmation and left them voice-mail to confirm I was going to be at the hotel, they did not respond to my voice mail where I asked for confirmation that everything was okay. Excellent service... Nick, our agent, was very helpful in rebooking an earlier trip to Costa Rica cancelled because of Covid. We are in the travel business and are very aware of how important customer service is. Travel by Jen presently has a "change without fees" policy which they honored. We found them through the Travel Zoo App. This review is for Nick's assistance. We will review our January trip when we return. Hopefully our experience is better than some of the bad reviews. We chose to upgrade hotels. Still a bargain.

We booked a trip to Costa Rica for this past July through Travel by Jen that was to include 8 nights of hotels in three different locations. When we arrived at the second hotel, we were told we did not have a reservation. We tried calling Travel by Jen and no one answered. Eventually, the hotel clerk was able to find a "local" representative who told us we were on our own. Being left without accommodations in a foreign place was awful. I want to let you know that I was trying to work with Travel by Jen/ Jet Set this morning and it was one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had when trying to book a trip. I was connected to a sales agent in their New York office this morning. She was rude, abrasive, constantly interrupted and spoke over me to the point of exasperation. She would not listen at all to what I was trying to do. This was evident when she attempted to summarize what I was trying to do, and it was a miserable failure. I wanted to take a moment and tell you about the most fantastic vacation that was facilitated through Travel by Jen. We spent nine days at three amazing hotels in different parts of Costa Rica The accommodations were as promised the views were spectacular breakfasts were amazing and there was plenty to do. I also need to note that during this time of Covid this trip had to be rescheduled a couple of times and it was through Matts amazing arranging that it eventually went off without a hitch and that wasn’t easy dealing with other countries and non US airlines. Customer service was lacking until I I went to the BBB; then the attitude changed and Matt became very helpful, until I actually went on the vacation and encountered issues with the hotel. I reached out asking for resolution to our problem that left me finding another hotel at an extra expense to me. I haven't heard from him. The Costa Rica trip was just ok; ALOT of driving. Beware the hotels are like camping and we brought our descent suitcases that were wheelbarrowed from the rocky driveway to the bug infested room. My children said it was like the place they stayed with the boy scouts camp

Many thanks to Suzanne for the recommendation and trip plan for my family's recent trip to El Dorado Royale in Riviera Maya. We had a great trip and really liked the resort. Specifically, we liked the style of the low profile smaller capacity buildings. We were in building 41 with rooms and balconies with an ocean view, which was beautiful. Suzanne made specific recommendations based on her recent experience and we definitely appreciated those. Wine Kitchen was our favorite restaurant by far and I went with her short rib reco and didn't regret it. They also had the best cocktails

Got the 5 day Costa Rica package staying at Montana de Fuego w/ car. Advertised for $399 person
After all taxes and fees my total was $1300 some how for 2 people
The agent was very nice and accomadating while doing booking stuff but after that it was hard to get a agent for questions about trip.
The resort was very nice and clean, the staff was amazing . Rooms were a little dated but very relaxing and quant. Other hidden fees and obstacles you are unaware of at booking----
1-car is tiny little 4 door however is very good on gas. 2-Drive from airport to resort is 3 hours...very scenic and dangerous

BUYERS BEWARE!!!!!!! Travel by Jen is a scam. They booked us a vacation, the flight changed delaying us for 2 days. Even though we would miss, 2 excursions because of the delay, they refuse to give us a refund. They never called to let us know about the flight change but told us we can't get a refund. STAY AWAY. I have contacted the BBB and my credit card company.

Deal we got was a good deal which claimed was 100% no change fees (due to covid still being around). When I tried to cash that in- Sue, the woman who initially helped me was appalled that we even ask to CHANGE our trip for another they were offering. I asked about the "no charge for change" policy and she said that was if there was a travel ban only. This was not stated when I made the purchase. In addition she said if I wanted to change anything I'd have to call the airline myself... absolutely no help from them though I booked with them. Extremely disappointed with the company

Things started out great working with Nick at TravelbyJen (JetSet Vacations). He was efficient and timely in getting back to us about our Cancun package. We received our tickets on time, albeit a few schedule changes, and all of the information needed for travel planned between 12/24/20 and 12/29/20. Three weeks before our trip, I took it into my own hands to reach out to the resort that Travel By Jen booked us with to see what excursions they had to offer and how things were being handled due to covid. To my surprise, they informed me that they were not even open and have been closed for 6 months. I am not sure why the travel company would advertise a vacation package at a resort that isn't even open??? Let alone not even inform us about the resort being closed. I found out myself that the resort was not open, not through our agent...All that we had left

Samantha's assistance was invaluable! She helped us reschedule our trip due to COVID and even assisted us multiple times when the airlines changed our flights. Stay away. Stay far away. I was forced to reschedule my trip twice. Due to covid 19 Than when I asked for a refund the 3rd time. They still wanted to push back the date. My airline refunded the flight. Hotel would have but booked through travel Agent. She tried to have me pay more the 2nd time due to a different month. I had to have the hotel email them saying there was no additional costs than they rescheduled.
