Before Dr. Peter Shih studied and trained to become an Orthodontist, he received his Bachelor of Science in Biomechanical Engineering from Washington University in 2002, and went on to earn his Master of Science from Missouri University of Science and Technology in Computer Engineering in 2006.
He earned his Doctorate of Dental Medicine (DMD) from NOVA Southeastern University in 2015 and completed his Orthodontic Residency at Jacksonville University in 2017.Dr. Shih gives back to the community by participating in programs like Volunteer in Medicine, which provides free dental services to low-income families.

We are passionate about equal access to education. We are a proud partner of Communities in Schools to support students who are at high risk of dropping out. Each time we put on braces, $40 will be donated to help students stay in school. Currently, the funds purchase graduation gowns and fees for those who otherwise could not afford to walk.

This is THE best orthodontics office in the Jacksonville area.
Initially, I had a serious underbite developing and after seeing 3 specialists I was told that I would need advance jaw surgery. Considering the amount of money that I would need and the time off from work I simply could not afford it. I then came to this office and the doc told me right away it could be fixed with no issues. 6 months into the process and my teeth are now corrected with no apparent underbite. I'm telling you the doc performs miracles! The office is modern and comfortable with a friendly staff who never forgets your

I just want to start off with saying This is one of the best orthodontist office I been to, everyone is so welcoming and sweet I’m not the one that likes to go to the dentist but I actually enjoy my visits here.They always make me feel comfortable and always there to answer questions. I had a retainer come loose and new to the area so I had no orthodontist to repair it. The office was able to get me in quickly and Dr Pete was very professional and offered other options for treatment.
If I need to go back I will definitely return. The clinic was very clean and the staff very attentive.
