Matthews Auctions started in 2007 with two goals in mind. First was to properly market our consigners items to receive the most money that we could for them. Second was to correctly describe and represent the items that we sold for buyers to make an educated decision when bidding at our auctions.
In 2007, certified appraiser and renowned petroliana expert Daniel K. "Dan" Matthews founded his own company, Matthews Auctions LLC of Nokomis, Illinois, following 15 years spent as a specialist auctioneer.The semiannual Peotone Petroliana & Automobilia Auctions he founded, and continues to produce, are among the most popular and highly regarded events attended by gas and oil memorabilia collectors.

Broadcast thru Facebook on "Porcelain Sign Trader" Group, one item will be selling every 3 minutes, no extending bidding or "ins or outs". This auction will have a wide range of petroliana, automobilia, farm & other antique advertising. There will be no in person bidding. We will be selling on Proxibid, Liveauctioneers, phone & absentee bidding will be accepted.
