The Islands Condominiums is a private, waterfront community located in Crystal River along the Gulf of Mexico, an area aptly named 'Florida's Nature Coast'. Uniquely situated in the midst of the 30,000 acre Crystal River Preserve, we are surrounded by a forever-protected landscape, a mosaic of salt marsh meanders running through fields of saw grass and hammock, fringed by mangroves.
Dolphin, manatee, and otters swim our waters; while herons, pelicans, osprey and bald eagles fly overhead. There are 154, one and two bedroom, single story villas and 25, two bedrooms, two story town houses on our forty-four acre manicured and irrigated campus. Stately oaks, wispy pine, and tropical palms grace the property, seasonally dotted with splashes of brightly colored hibiscus, sweet smelling jasmine and citrus blossom.

I have lived here for 2 years. I have had the most amazing experiences. I saw a manatee give birth at my dock, and dolphins that stop by from time to time are so beautiful. I would never trade my amazing experiences living here. I know that every Condo is not perfect, and people have complaints, but my expenses here are so low compared to Gainesville. $89.00 electric bill, $780.00 property taxes, 22.00 water bill. What a deal.
One morning after my first day here, a large crane was looking in the window. I never expected that. We names him Oscar, and he visited from time to time.
Cant say enough
