Nothing good to report here. I've supported Bread Basket for almost 15 years and had the worst experience last week. I pre-ordered and pre-paid the fruit basket cake and a dozen moo cookies. When I picked it up, the icing was wrong. The clerk just said, "it doesn't say that on the paper," without attempting to fix the situation. I was disappointed but didn't make a big deal. I said it was okay and moved on. I got to the party, and the guests told me the cookies were burnt. It was embarrassing to gift people with "freshly baked" goods that needed to be microwaved

This is a terrible business staff and principle. We ordered a xmas log cake paid for and to be picked up
On xmas eve. My father in law died the same day in Fresno and we were not able pick up the cake. Fast forward today, i came by the store to see if we can have another cake for his celebration of life service instead.
They said, NO! Not even a sliver of cake. They told me that they made the cake and they threw it our? Seriously? Do not buy and go to this bakery. They are greedy and have no consideration!!!!

I walked into your store yesterday to buy some Christmas gifts & upon entering the store, your worker, without extending a greeting, yells, “You must wear a mask to come in!”…I smiled and turned around and went elsewhere to buy my Christmas gifts. It is my human right to chose whether of not to wear a mask. Your employee has no idea whether or not I am even medically able to wear a mask for health reasons. He just barked an order at me. What has happened to human compassion in the midst of the fear of a virus. I will not be shopping at your store.

Holy cow, expensive but delicious. Got a slice of the berries cake - out of this world! It just hits the right spot and not overly sweet, light and airy and the berries just enhances the cake or maybe the other way round. But for $8+ for one slice, it is pretty steep but so so good. Oh the dilemma! Whole cake smaller size is about $50+ and the larger size is $70+. This place was buzzing and people keep coming in so there may be a bit of wait until you get to place your order. The Cherry puff was good too and cheaper

Fruit on the cake was old it had fruit flies on it
I didn't notice till I got home (45 minutes away) and they were closed it cost over $70 (had go buy another cake from Vons)
The writing on the cake was very sloppy
Also bought 2 pieces of pumpkin pie... so tasteless no flavor at all and the crust was soggy and over cooked

NO MORE DELI?! I've been going to Bread Basket 20 years. I don't eat a lot of sweets and I don't like cake usually, but I went in to buy one for my daughter's birthday because she loves baking cake so a grocery store cake wouldn't do. It was WAY TOO EXPENSIVE but I tried a slice and thought it was delicious!!
They have awesome pastries as well so I don't mind paying extra for those but the cakes were excessively priced imo.
They USED to have some amazing sandwiches too! I would definitely pay $15-$20 on them for lunch but they stopped that service :( which makes

$8.50 for a cupcake I expected delicious and it wasn't. Fruit on red velvet unusual but the best bit and very fresh. Cake tasted out of box as opposed to home made ingredients and frosting was bland and really not very good. Many other places have great cream cheese frosting! Both cookies were bite and trash as opposed to eat.
The young lady taking the money was very sweet but the guy taking the order had a very FU attitude.

I've been here 2 times already. Their cakes are good, but the customer service is just bad. Both times that I've come there were no friendly vibes and no smiles from the two women that have helped me. Even after we left I was asking my boyfriend if he felt those unwelcoming vibes and he did. I've been working in customer service for a long time I know how it can be. But come on ladies. If I can fake a smile so can you. I won't be back again and I'm sure that's probably why a lot of people don't come back here.

They have pastries, coffee cakes, cookies, pies, tarts, muffins, breads, cupcakes & different cakes like specialty cakes even wedding cakes.
These are definitely special occasion cakes for grand events such as birthdays, milestones, weddings etc.
It is pricey here, so don't be surprised. Just don't forget to order regular cakes 48 hours in advance.

I ordered a cake for my boyfriend's birthday on 08/19/21 and received it on 08/24/19. I ordered a 9 inch cake in advance so they can have time to have it ready. The cake was okay. I've ordered from Bread Basket in the past but their cakes don't taste the same anymore. The cake was a bit dry. My main complaint was that I ordered a white cake with fruit basket filling with vanilla buttercream and I received the cake with cream cheese frosting. I really dislike cream cheese frosting and my boyfriend didn't really like it. I specifically asked for vanilla buttercream because I know

However, their customer service over the phone when ordering a cake is horrendous. The individual I spoke with was very rude over the phone and not patient with me at all. I've been supporting this bakery for a long time, but it seems a lot of things have gone south.
I'm not sure if I'll be coming back after this last cake order.

Great quality cakes and pastries. I have noticed the price hike recently and it leads me to believe that one can probably get a better deal for the same quality at another local bakery. Other than that, this is my go to for birthday cakes. They have a several already made on display so if you forget to order yours ahead of time, there’s a few there you can choose from.

Honest review. For years we have loved the fruit basket cake vanilla with french whip.
Last few times it has been disappointing, not to mention their awful customer service over the phone.

The decorative strawberries were in good shape however the strawberries on the inside of the cake were disintegrated disgusting. Bread was good. The cream was tasteless it reminded me and my guests of sour cream.
This bakery is particularly expensive, our cake was close to $70 which wouldn't have mattered if it was as delicious as we remembered it.

Bead Basket is a stand out location for fantastic pastries, sandwiches, cakes, and desserts. The fresh cream and fruit cakes are amazing. All the traditional flavors are crafted in unique combinations. I know a couple of folks who purchased their wedding cake here and were very satisfied. There is a small outdoor dining area for lunch or a snack. The sandwiches are made with fresh bread and the baked goods are generous portions. This shop is big delight in a small stip mall. Enjoy!

My experience with this place great. I don't understand why it is low rated but after reading the reviews I see the most complaints because of their customer service but the cake and their pastries are beyond amazing.
My family and I just moved to Camarillo and we found out go to place for cakes, this is amazing. I hope they stay in business throughout this pandemic.
I went in a couple times since we moved here and they safely practice social distancing, wear masks and when I ordered my cake they helped me and payed attention to details.

I usually don’t eat cake but I had to here because it was 1. Delicious and 2. Really delicious. Additionally, the fresh fruit on the cake was succulent. And the cake itself was not overly sweet so one could actually taste all the different layers. I feel bad about eating it though. It was a work of art and now it’s gone inside my stomach.
