Grant was born and raised in Boone County, Arkansas. He graduated from Valley Springs High School and attended Ouachita Baptist University, earning a degree in English. He graduated from the University of Arkansas School of Law in Fayetteville in 2010. After law school, Grant worked at a small general practice law firm Northwest Arkansas.
