Gaspar's Dive N Board opened in 2007. The shop is named after the well-known Spanish pirate, Jose Gaspar, also known as Gasparilla from the late 1800's and early 1900's. With the closest access to the Gulf of Mexico waters, their location is a natural fit for all divers. Yes, we do rent scuba equipment including Tanks, B.C.D's, Regulators, Weights and Gear Bags. We also rent snorkel gear as well as mask, snorkel, fins and flags. We are a NAUI Premier Dive Center that offers courses for Open water, Advanced, Rescue and Dive Master! we also have course available for specialty certifications including enriched air nitrox, wreck diving and much more!.

We carry a wide variety of Zap skim boards including wedges, lasers, and many more makes and styles. We also carry board wax, traction pads and arch bars. Even though we are considered a "dive shop" we still carry basic swimming and snorkeling equipment. Including masks, fins, snorkels, goggles and accessories.

Open Water Certification and Equipment purchase.
My experience with the team at Gaspars was great. The training was technical and focused on safety. Class sizes are small so instruction is focused. Instructors also are heavily involved in the store. They paid attention to how you dive and have great suggestions for gear when going on your own. They took the time needed to educate me on gear to make good purchases. I would and highly recommend them to anyone looking for gear or training.

Ok so if your the Englewood FL this is the only only dive shop you should give your business too. They are nothing but friendly people . This dive shop is great! They have great products and are knowledgeable about them. They are awesome with new divers! Joe gave us a pool lessons then took us on a boat dive 2 days later to get our first boat dives in after recently getting OW certified. We learned at least as much from him as we did from class! They will always be our dive shop!

I finally decided to learn how to Scuba Dive, and get certifications - Stephanie was super freindly and informative, got me set up with the NAUI software, and booked me into a class as quick as possible! Joe and Spearo were amazing trainers - friendly and personable, and knew EXACTLY how to fix/adjust the few bouyancy issues I struggled with. very strict on safety and made us repeat our skills often. I signed up to complete my Open Water Diving Certification with Gaspars along with my brother. From the beginning, it was evident that Joe and Steph, the owners, were customer focused. I was traveling to Florida for vacation, and Steph worked with me prior to my arrival to ensure I understood the schedule, training requirements, and what gear to bring with me. There is no better place on this coast to buy dive gear and learn to dive. My wife and I were open water certified by Joe ( assistant manager/ trainer) and it has become an addiction since then. The class was extremely informative and enjoyable and no other dive shops in the area will take you offshore for your certification dives which was a huge selling point for us. Went to this scuba shop to buy some novice snorkeling equipment. I found Gasper’s Dive N Board via a Google search. As it turned out this place was very helpful. Their knowledge of gear and snorkeling impressed me. They had a very large selection of quality gear and kept me in my budget! I was pleasantly surprised.

My husband and I got dive certified with Joe at Gaspars and it was a great experience! He was so knowledgeable and patient with all of the students. I have been going to this shop for a few years now. I trust them to service my gear and keep me safe. The atmosphere is great! Stephanie is a terrific diver and talented photographer. She is knowledgeable and trustworthy.
I don't know anyone better than Joe for repair and maintenance of equipment. I trust him implicitly. As an avid diver I rely on my gear nearly every weekend and knowing that Joe has serviced it gives me a peace of mind that allows me to enjoy my experiences completely.

Well what can I say, after going to several dive shops in the area I ended up at Gaspar's. I came there to get gear for my new scuba certification.When I first walked in the door I was greeted by a nice young lady who is very willing to help me.After I told her that I was a first time buyer of gear she immediately had someone different coming to help me and wow what an experience.This lady knew her stuff, she started out with some higher end gear ,BCD,snorkel ,masks and booties ,the whole works. What had originally attracted me to Gaspar's was the awesome prices on normally overpriced specific brands I was looking for and his dive charter location selections and price. I have been visiting this area for 7 years before I finally moved the family down about six months ago. I was recently certified before I moved down and was invited to my first dive trip out on the gulf for some spearfishing with the local pros and the owner himself.
