When a funeral home is family owned, it means something. It means that the people you trust in your time of need are your neighbors, and they live here in the Henry, Houston, Dale, and Barbour Counties of Alabama and Clay County, Georgia areas. In fact, you may already know the Holman Family and their associates from church, a community group or charity organization.
While many funeral homes have family names, quite a few are actually operated by large corporations. Not Holman. Our funeral home has been owned and operated by the Holman Family since it was established over eighty years ago. That means we are involved in the community, we know the people, and we know the local customs and traditions.

Obituaries act as quiet reminders of the finite nature of our lives. Yet, for those who have recently experienced the death of a family member or friend, an obituary means so much more. It is a bittersweet reminder of all we've lost, but it can also help us to remember all we enjoyed while they were alive.

My mother passed away on Mother's Day in 2019. I reached out to Holman, practically two years later, because I finally had the money to get her an urn. They transferred her ashes to an urn and 8 tiny keepsakes for me completely free of charge, and they even stayed after hours so I can pick them up after I got off work. Now, I don't know if that's something mortuaries just do free of charge; however, it meant the world to me and my family. Now we each can have a piece of her close by this Mother's Day 🖤🖤

Kind, compassionate, caring and professional are just a few of the words our family would use to describe Holman. We wanted to do things for our loved one that were a little out of the ordinary and Holman was very accommodating. Thank you Michael, John, Randy and the entire staff for your excellent service!
