Services
Myomedicine's philosophy is rooted in methodologies that aim to restore and optimize functioning of your body's innate healing mechanisms. By targeting circulation and oxygenation of the tissues, this approach is designed to balance the immune system and decrease inflammation, resulting in less pain, improved mobility, and enhanced vitality.
Lyme and other tick-borne disease can cause extensive inflammation, resulting in an increase in the body's 'fight or flight' response. When prolonged, this state can drain energy from the body and may lead to a cycle of increasing pain and fatigue that sometimes persists, even after appropriate treatment with antibiotics and other medications.
Are you searching for something beyond Western medicine's typical approach to postpartum care? Osteopathic manipulative medicine and acupuncture techniques aim to work in conjunction to restore balance and strength to the pelvic muscles, to optimize sacral motion, and to balance hormones and the nervous system.
Myomedicine is a private pay practice, and payment is due at the time of service. Payments are accepted in office, or via the Simple Practice Patient Portal. Myomedicine accepts VISA, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, and other major credit cards as well as debit cards, Flexible Spending Accounts, Health Savings Accounts, personal checks, or cash.

I was suffering with extreme back and leg pain at the time I went to see Melissa Colbert, M.D. I had seen many physicians and specialists, including a neurosurgeon who had previously operated on my back but indicated that surgery was not now an option. I am grateful to Dr. Colbert, M.D. for the extraordinary (I don’t use the word lightly) care she provided.
In my relatively long life as both a patient and medical professional, I have considerable knowledge of many medical professionals. I appreciate their differences and will spend significant time and energy searching for the “best” doctor

Dr. Colbert is a gifted healer. I would trust her with my aging parents, athletic friends or stressed out colleagues. After a serious injury, Dr. Colbert was invaluable in managing pain, addressing the underlying injury and creating long term relief in just a few sessions. Her wide range of hands on options and compassion made me feel totally confident and at ease. It's rare to find someone with so much skill, experience and a wealth of resources.
