Lets face it, over the years nothing holds up completely. No matter the time and effort put into your walls at some point they may get damaged, get wet, or even catch on fire. We understand that these things happen and strive to work with you to get your walls and ceilings looking brand new again as soon as possible.
Blueboard is a very popular drywall, costing only a little bit more and generally being more durable than regular plaster board. This is accomplished by the unique blue papering that lays over the interior gypsum board. This paper bonds easier and better to plastering, typically veneer plaster, and thus ends up in a stronger and smoother finish on your wall or ceiling.
In New England its not surprise that your walls and ceilings will get damaged by water over the years. Our pipes may burst from the cold or even just the age and leak onto our ceilings or walls, requiring complete removal, assessment and installation of brand new drywall. Our roofs are prone to leaking over time, with the snow and rain beating down on them, trees and branches falling due to the harsh winds we can get.
A major step in the drywalling process after the initial framing and installation is plastering. Once the joints have been taped and the wall looks ready, we begin the process of plastering. This can involve multiple layers upon the outside of the wallboard, achieving the smoothest possible finish.
