Peggy and the gals did an amazing job customizing and fitting my dress! I had lost weight and had to have it taken in. They made it fit like a glove! I was worried about having a strapless dress because of my larger bust, but they did such a fantastic job, I was able to move around day at my wedding and the following weekend with no problems.
Peggy also came up with some great ideas to honor my mom who passed away. The little extra touches and care they put in made the experience above and beyond what I could have ever dreamed.

I honestly can not recommend Peggy enough!!! She has done multiple bridesmaid dresses for me, my sisters wedding dress, made a baptismal gown from my moms wedding dress for my niece and most importantly my two wedding dresses! When I would get worked up like any bride can, she was wonderful at reassuring me and making me feel better! Peggy can see your vision and than create it better than you could have imagined! Peggy made my wedding dress dreams a reality!! I spoke with her even before I had my dress picked out (she altered my sister-in-law's dress when I was newly engaged) and she shared so much knowledge about how to navigate the world of wedding dresses. Because of her advice I felt super confident looking for my perfect dress. When I did find the right one, she was able to make it fit me exactly how I wanted it to! My fiancé and I were leaving in less than a week for our elopement and everyone else I called said they didn’t have enough time to help. I am so grateful to custom alterations for making my wedding dress more perfect than I could have dreamed. The staff goes above and beyond - they did alterations to my mom’s dress as well and made a matching mask out of the extra material for her to use for the wedding. Peggy created the most beautiful baptismal gowns from over 100 year old fabric from my great grandmother's wedding trousseau. The pieces are flawless, and look as though the different fabrics were made to fit together. They were a surprise from my mom for my baby shower and they are truly one of the most treasured and special things that I have ever received. Peggy does amazing work while making sure that your treasured family heirlooms are converted into something useful and beautiful. Highly recommend!

From day one the alteration process was effortless and stress free. Both Peggy and Connie were kind and accommodating. I believe all together I had 4 fittings. Each time my dress fit better and better. On my big day I was complimented numerous times on my dress with many saying "that dress was meant for you". You don't get that response from just buying a pretty dress at a boutique. Those compliments are a result of your seamstress altering your dress to fit every inch of your body perfectly. That is exactly what Custom Alterations did for me!

Not good. My bustle broke before my reception after spending $125 on it. Photos of what my dress looked like before and after i had to knot the train and tie it to my belt. Tried not to worry at my wedding, because it was my wedding, but it looks horrible in photos.
Also, was only supposed to have three fittings when I came in for the bird they had not altered my dress from the second. And they quoted me more than $150 less than what I ended up paying. Frustrating.

They were very professional, individualized the service they provided, and were open to feedback and suggestions when I had questions/ concerns about the alterations on my dress. DO NOT GO HERE! After 6 fittings they were unable to fit a simple, A-line, unleaded, unsequined dress, instead telling me that I had "blown up like a balloon" and that the dress could not fit with a smooth front or in the
hips because the "dress was not made that way." (I weighed within 3 pounds of when I brought the dress in). I am out several hundred dollars and still have to take the dress elsewhere. Attended one appointment where they "forgot" to alter my dress prior to my arrival. Avoid the stress DO NOT GO HERE!

I am leaving for my destination wedding in eight days and because of this place, I have been in tears most of the day and have a messed-up wedding dress. This place was recommended to me by the bridal shop where I purchased my $1500 wedding gown.
Although I could write a book about all the different ways that this woman insulted me, talked down to me, dismissed me, etc., I am going to try

Unfortunately I do NOT recommend this place at all. Our first appointment was great, everyone was super friendly and made me feel at ease about the alterations that needed to be made to my dress... the 3rd, 4th, and 5th fittings were the polar opposite. One time I went in when we had scheduled a fitting and they had gotten the day and time mixed up and Peggy got an attitude/very rude and unprofessional with ME about HER mixing up the times. I left in tears. After that, I came in to find a spot of blood in my dress at the bottom where her and her team were hand sewing on lace to the bottom of

Don't go here! They are way over priced for the work that they do. They make excuses like "the designer made the dress wrong" and "the dress doesn't fit anyone", instead of actually trying to be decent seamstresses. My dress had single stitches in it and the hem was crooked. I was a bridesmaid in a wedding and she altered multiple dresses incorrectly, not to mention the brides' bustles breaking. The owner keeps asking for money to pay her workers for their hours but keeps giving out subpar work. The only reason that they get two stars is because they are nice

Should probably put on the roadside sign (that they don't have) that ALL they do is wedding dresses. Brought a formal skirt in and when I finally found the place (lack of signage) I didn't even take three steps into the building before they told me no. Not any fault of theirs, they seemed like nice people. But maybe their business information and signs should be more specific consider they only cater to a small niche in the public and are uninterested in catering to anyone who isn't engaged to be married.

Unfortunately, my experience with custom alterations was not pleasant. I was asked to take my business elsewhere a month before my wedding by the owner after I showed discontent with what was done to my dress. Instead of trying to correct any issues with my dress she asked me to leave. On the day of my wedding, all of the tacking to my dress broke and it was impossible for it to bustle. I would never recommend anyone to use this business and I will also be sending in a complaint to the better business bureau as well as making sure that all wedding websites know of my dissatisfaction and blatant

I feel completely ripped off by these people. they rushed me out the door two days prior to my wedding and didn't have my dress ready to go. My dress was falling apart the day of my wedding and they took no responsibility for the quality of their craft. I will always look back on my wedding dress with negative thoughts because the sleeve was ripping off halfway through my ceremony.

I took in an evening gown that was backless and wanted them to add fabric to the back. They did a great job and I'm glad I went to them. I originally went to Genis Tailor in St. Peter's, but the owner was absolutely rude and the place was filthy and she had her dog roaming around down where she did the alterations, which I thought was so unsanitary. I live in O'Fallon and I did not mind driving out to Valley Park-Peggy and her team got the job done right and knew immediately what I wanted when I came in. Her price was also very reasonable. Let me start by saying I used to do bridal alterations for a short time some years ago. I majored in fashion design, so I was trained to do it PERFECTLY and not take shortcuts. Needless to say I have high standards. I did not want to alter my own gown, as I had my hands full with altering my bridesmaids' dresses (so they would not have to pay for it), along with other wedding stuff. I bought my dress from Robin's Bridal, and regrettably let the girls in the back of Robins Bridal (called Billy's Alterations) touch it. I ended up having to buy a second dress with priority shipping
