Heel pain is most often caused by plantar fasciitis, a condition that is sometimes also called heel spur syndrome when a spur is present. When a toenail is ingrown, it is curved and grows into the skin, usually at the nail borders (the sides of the nail). Dr. Tom's is following CDC recommendations to minimize risk to our patients and our employees.

This "digging in" of the nail irritates the skin often creating pain, redness, swelling and warmth in the toe. If an ingrown nail causes a break in the skin, bacteria may enter and cause an infection in the area, which is often marked by drainage and foul odor.

Friendly staff and service, would totally recommend. However I went here with the intent to relieve intense foot craps and received x-rays and a foot brace which seemed to have solved the issue, but the issues came back. So come to find out I was just super dehydrated, a simple cure that took sometime to realize once I looked at my water intake. Once I started hydrating, no more foot cramps.

Very recently I have been to Dr. Tom’s office while visiting a relative for his graduation. I was having a lot of heel pain. So much so that I could hardly walk without having a very noticeable limp. A family member who lives in the area referred me to Dr. Tom’s Foot and Ankle, so I decided to pay the office a visit. The experience was overall very pleasant, as I do not typically like going to doctors offices. Dr. Tom was very personable, and really got right down to what was wrong with my heel. He walked me through what the plan was for treatment, and I am already starting to feel the relief

Had a pain in my left foot . the only thing that was good is that he seen me right away. so i have really good insurance . 60 dollar co pay for specialist.
so i had an xray and a boot. when i left the bill was 250 bucks. she said it had to go to my deductible. well let me tell you. my whole life i had copay insurance and never had to pay for xrays . and i had hundreds. i called bc and bs to report it . stay away if you can .

I had recently gone to Dr. Toms for a consultation related to a foot injury that I have. From the time that I walked in until the time I walked out the staff was very kind and helpful. I am not usually one that likes doctors offices, but I felt comfortable here. Dr. Tom walked me through my injury and made what was wrong with my foot easy to understand. The staff at Dr. Toms really cares about their patients and wants them to feel as comfortable as possible. I appreciate the care they have provided me.

Dr. Tom did help in some way but when you check out you might as well pay the whole bill whether you have insurance or not! They keep sending you bills claiming it's the insurance company fault and you owe them more money! Any other doctor I have been to I never had this problem with payments! I won't be back due to their billing practices!

I have to say, Dr. Tom’s was the best experience I’ve had yet. He was the first doctor to actually listen to my concerns and provide a solution. He gave me options, and we decided to go with custom orthotics. After they came in his staff walked me through how to properly wear them, and helped me fit them to my shoes.
This was the best experience I’ve had. An extremely talented, high class, and genuinely caring office

I came in on a cane and in excruciating pain. Dr. Tom and his super friendly staff diagnosed me quickly and efficiently and treated me, and I walked out pain free. I considered going to a larger practice that a family member goes to, but saw good reviews for Dr. Tom. I'm truly so glad I did. And fun tip...classic movie fans will be delighted with the office decor! I'll be recommending Dr. Tom to anyone I know who needs a top notch, caring podiatrist with a great staff. AND FREE COFFEE!!!

Dr Tom and team are excellent! They are extremely professional and I was able to get an urgent appointment for an ankle fracture. Dr Tom quickly and accurately diagnosed my issue and I was back to myself, boot free, within 3.5 weeks! The front desk staff were helpful in letting me know my insurance coverage versus my out of pocket cost.
