She was one of her moms main bakers from the age of 15. After leaving the Amish culture she started baking out of the kitchen using her moms recipes. She was also supervisor in Der Dutchman Restaurant bakery for a long period of time, that is where she learned to decorate cakes. She was decorating all of their wedding and birthday cakes by the time she left.
With our "kitchen" bakery out growing our house turning our home into a business we decided we need to start our own restaurant and bakery. So when the Restaurant in Perrysville, OH. came up for sale the timing was right, and the place was right, since we are small town country people.

We were staying in town for the Inkarceration festival and initially we try to go for breakfast. We ended up getting there for lunch (1pm) and have an amazing experience. I got the chili with the turkey club, and a meatloaf sandwich. THE FRIES WERE GREAT! All the foods were delicious home cooked flavors. I ended up ordering a chili to take home for dinner too. If you get the chance, go here. ANYTIME of day is a good time.

Was really excited for this place and would have loved to give it a 4 star after the mozzarella sticks. Sadly, quite a few things went wrong during the meal that just made me question the experience. For starters, I wanted to order the noodles with mashed potatoes, and was really excited to try something new. I asked our waitress to make sure that mine had no gravy on it because i’m a vegetarian and I don’t eat meat. However, when the dish is brought out there is a gravy on the noodles. So I waited for our waitress to come back so I could ask her what it was exactly. We waited for about 15

Like traveling in time to an era when service and homemade food were the only types of dining available. Outstanding service, great hometown atmosphere, incredible food, and cleanliness that would surpass anyone's grandmother's standards. The homemade bakery surrounding the entrance and cash register is was too enticing to pass up. We passed this gem on the way in to a backpacking trip at Mohican. Not only am I glad we stopped on the way back, but I would drive the extra 20 minutes or so from Rt 71 past all of the franchise restaurants, and eat here if I'm anywhere near this area.

This was my first and only visit to this restaurant. My dad chose it because it has so many good reviews and was rated very high ratings!.. upon stepping inside, no one came to greet us for approximately 3-5 minutes. There was no sign saying whether we should wait to be seated, or to seat ourselves. We weren’t sure what to do so, we peeked around the corner until, eventually, we saw a server waiting on a table. She walked past us once and since she didn’t say anything, we approached her and asked her if we should just seat ourselves. She said yes. We weren’t expecting the onion rings that

A local diner with lots of local charm. Accepts credit cards. The food is inexpensive and good, but the real treasure is all of the homemade desserts available. Buckeyes with the telltale toothpick hole (a sign it is homemade), no bake cookies, multiple flavors of other cookies, pecan bars, coffee cake, and pastries. All of these are available to take on the go, so we typically purchase a couple small containers to give us delicious sweets for the weekend. Overall can't oversell how great this place is.
