We work side by side with our couples to create the wedding cake of your dreams, whether you come in with a vision or need some design guidance. We offer tasting appointments for couples for a fee of $25.00. You have the opportunity to sample our five most popular cake flavors, which include: vanilla cake, chocolate cake, lavender cake, spice cake, and red velvet cake.
Not only do we make cakes for your wedding day, but we also make cakes for all those other big life moments. Whether you need a cake for a gender reveal, baby shower, baptism, first birthday, or 90th birthday, you are covered for every special moment in your life. At The Cake Lady, you will choose a cake flavor, fill with three layers of filling and top it off with one flavor of frosting - making each cake unique to each event.

We hired The Cake Lady to bake our wedding cake, which turned out absolutely stunning design-wise and tasted delicious. Cece made our vision a reality and helped us through postponing our wedding. My husband and I had the BEST experience with Cece. Our wedding was rescheduled multiple times due to COVID-19 and she was kind and accommodating throughout the whole process. She even made us a small cake for our backyard reception that we held on our supposed to be wedding day. The cake for our large ceremony a year later was absolutely STUNNING and it tasted even better than it looked. We had the pleasure of savoring a piece of our little cake that we had frozen for our one year anniversary and it tasted as if she had baked it that morning. Replies to emails promptly and it was very easy to place an order. The Cake Lady was very attentive to what you want. I gave them about 1week notice for a 6inch cake which was beautifully made.
But I'd like to talk about the flavors. I ordered a Lavender cake with lemon buttercream, raspberry preserves, and vanilla buttercream. The cake was de-lish-shussssss!!!!!! It was the perfect real lavender cake with bits of lavender buds. It did not taste of artificial flavoring. The lemon buttercream was perfectly tart. The buttercream icing around the cake was also delicious and was not overwhelmingly

I have been using Cece and her amazing cake creations for 10 YEARS now!! Not only are her cakes a work of art, they are equally delicious. Any theme or idea we have, Cece runs with it and creates amazing cakes. We've had chocolate with chocolate ganache, carrot cake with cream cheese frosting, spice cake (MY fav), banana....and every time the crowd is so pleased! People who don't like cake eat her cakes! I had such a great experience ordering my sons first birthday cake! He had a jungle "wild one" theme. All ordering was done through email and it was super easy. Just picked what fillings and type of cake/frosting. I also sent pictures of some ideas I wanted and I was so happy with the outcome. The cake was delicious too! My favorite was the chocolate ganache filling and cheesecake buttercream together!! I highly recommend the cake lady!

This was by far the worst experience with a small business owner I've ever had. I placed an order with this company for my son's golden birthday. Because we are still dealing with a pandemic, there was nothing much I could really do besides give my son a super special cake! I chose the Cake Lady because the pictures of her cakes always looked so beautifully done, so I figured a cake with her would definitely be a hit.

Costs are not disclosed up front. When you buy a cake, most places include the frosting. Not here, and the charge is over the top. Cakes we dense and dry with minimal frosting. Surly not worth the price. Not friendly and she will talk you out of what you are asking for. Be sure to ask for all the charges up front.

Discovering The Cake Lady was fate. I work downtown and walk to the Public Market often for Anodyne coffee. I noticed a beautiful cake in the window. It looked magical. Four layers-two vanilla two chocolate. Between the vanilla layers was a red filling and between the chocolate layers seemed to be-could it be?! More chocolate!

My husband and I asked Karen to make cupcakes for our wedding reception. We used the cupcakes as a feature in our centerpieces. Each guest had the choice of several different flavors. Our guests enjoyed the fact that they had so many different options. One of the things that impressed me most about the cupcakes, other than their lovely/varied designs, was the fact that they did not dry out for days after the wedding. Many cupcakes only have a shelf life of a few hours before they become dry, but not these.

I just didn't have a great experience at our cake tasting here. Keep in mind, we didn't end up ordering a cake, but I feel that the tasting appointment didn't go as well as I would have hoped. While I believe Karen has great talent and vision (the cakes, buttercreams, etc were delicious) she was lacking in the way of communication with us.

Working with Karen to design our cake was one of our favorite parts of the wedding planning process. We had visited a few other bakeries before The Cake Lady and were starting to get worried that we wouldn't find something that fit. Our first meeting was just what we were looking for - a true consultation. Karen had delicious samples prepared, listened to our ideas, and was able to deliver exactly the cake we wanted. Our friends and family still, to this day, remember our wedding cake - how beautiful it was and how delicious it tasted.
