Years ago, business owners Jody and Gene met while both were working at a pizza shop in Myrtle Beach. Having spent years learning all of the roles necessary for running a restaurant, and having a love of good casual food, the team decided to open their own restaurant. With over 44 years combined experience, Jody Durham and Gene Rouppasong opened their first Mama Mia Pizzeria in 2007.
Getting the word out about their restaurants was not easy at first, however, they one day decided to provide samples of their food to the local desk clerks, bartenders, and other hard working service folks. The tasty samples won over many taste buds, so word of mouth spread and Mama Mia Pizzeria has thrived.

So we got in town late and we're starved; we ordered a pizza and hadn't realized the poor reviews. Once the order was placed we were a little freaked, worried that we made a horrific mistake. The lady had warned us that the pizza would take an hour so we weren't upset about the deliver time. The Pizza arrived EXACTLY how we ordered it and it was piping hot. We really enjoyed our pizza... just tells me that sometimes you just have to go out on a limb. I'd order from here again on our next visit.

Very nice small owned franchise I ordered a salad, cheese bread sticks and spaghetti.
The food was hot and delicious upon pickup.
Although my order was a to-go pickup, the dining area was a typical pizza shop atmosphere, a little dark and dated.
The service from the gentleman at the front was wonderful.

My family and I went to eat there today and the food was fantastic!!!, the bartender, Svetlana was so nice and helpful , she did a great job assisting us on what to order !! This restaurant was very clean and orderly, and the chocolate cheesecake desert was oh soo rich and creamy!!! .. plus they also have Real Ice Cream !! Do yourself a favor and try this place out , you won’t regret it!!!

If you like your pizza cold & burnt, this would be the place! However if you want good food go somewhere else.
After leaving SC the pizza place has volunteered to make me a new pizza….. wow! How about maybe making it right the 1st time and not sending out a burnt pizza. Obviously they do not care about what they send to the customer.
I will not be flying back to get my money for the pizza or another burnt pizza.
If I could give less than 1 star I would!

Absolutely disgusting food. It was the only place open late night for delivery so I thought I'd try it.
I ordered a sub and a pasta plate. For one, they didn't follow instructions and sent me a whole pasta plate with dairy products on top when I specifically asked for none.
The sub was dry and tasteless.
I think they know tourists won't send back food.
Awful place, awful people.

The 608 North Ocean Blvd location has a Very Rude lady that answers the phone and takes orders. She was there earlier today around 4pm and wouldn't take my order due to having only one delivery guy that she said would start delivering at 5pm. The time wasn't that much of an issue to me but bad customer service is a major issue for me. Mama Mia please get this lady off the phones otherwise you all will lose lots of business. Just let her take out the trash since she is comfortable conducting herself in such a negative manner!!!

Crazy I ordered this based on great reviews. I should of known when I placed my order with The unhappy rude lady it wasn't going to be good. Called after waiting an hour for her to hang up on me called back and… then a guy answered and said it's on its way. It did arrive right after that. Pizza was cold and dry and awful. Jalapeño poppers had shredded cheddar cheese not cream....AWFUL. Wings and ranch are the only thing that saved the place. Weren't the best wings but at least on our last night of vacation we got to eat something. We come every summer and won't order again!!!

Soooo, if you are in a bind, this place will suffice, but it is by no means good. I ordered a plain pizza and a Caesar salad with chicken.
The Caesar salad- the salad itself was fine. Literally just romaine, a bit of Parmesan and some croutons. However, I added chicken and the amount of chicken it came with was abysmal. At most, there were six small cubes of chicken.
The pizza- honestly, frozen pizza is a better bet. The pizza was cut into twelve incredibly unevenly portioned slices (???). There was one piece that had a section that had no cheese or sauce on it?? Like truly just amateur hour

Ordered a couple pineapple/ham combos, and it was at my hotel room in 35 minutes. They carry Pepsi products so they're legit in my book. My pies arrived freshly made and still hot. Ample amount of garlic, my favorite seasoning on pizza. Prices were fair, the driver was sweet, and all is well, except for those mean reviews above; It sounds like some really sour people who are used to having their way. Every one has off days, luckily mine, on a Saturday, was on point and for those reasons, I highly recommend Mama Mia.

There are several locations to chose from. The one we went too was right next door to our hotel.
First off it was strange to have to go into another hotel in order to get to the restaurant. Enter through the lobby amd then go to the first floor.
The place was small, and only 2 tables in the place, so it's best to order take out. The employees were very nice.
Now for the best part...the food!
We ordered 2 large pizzas and 2 orders of bread sticks.
The bread sticks were very good, soft and warm with plenty of parm. Cheese on top.

There are several locations in Myrtle Beach. One of them happened to be right next to our hotel. I was pleasantly surprised. The pizza is pretty well done. Crust is medium-thin, and sauce is good. Toppings were adaquate and it was cooked well. We got wings as well. The wings are oven baked, so I reccomend asking for them to be well done. I always do this with oven baked wings. The wings were excellent!
They have a deal for a 2-topping large lie and 10 wings for $16.95. It was so good that we had it two days in a row for lunch. Easily fed all 4 of us.

I wanted to like this place. I truly did. I'm enjoying myself on vacation, I want things to go great. This was far, far from it. My boyfriend and I originally wanted to give this place a solid three. We ordered the shrimp alfredo pizza, it sounded different, possibly delicious. It ended up being a cheese pizza with canned mushrooms and about 9 pieces of shrimp. But it wasn't...bad. But we gave this a one and here's why. As I picked out the mushrooms I found not only two long, coarse, black hairs hidden among the cheese, but a fly. A fly was cooked into our food.
