The choice of stone for any project depends on the desired look and feel of the space. Some stone can make small cramped spaces feel larger while other stone can help large spaces feel more homey. There are significant differences between each of the materials which helps you choose which is best for your project.
Edges are the most subtle but most distinguished aspects to a stone countertop. Properly applied an edge can make a disjointed room flow with cohesion. Each edge has its own personal characteristics for example the Flat polished edge is and has been the most popular over the last several centuries in masonry as it was the easiest to achieve.
The idea of laminated edges is a clever way to enhance the thickness of any countertop without having to buy custom thickness slabs of granite. The process involves attaching one roughly 4 inch wide piece of granite to the bottom of a pre-existing countertop. Then the edge is cut to specification. We can replicate this process up to a triple lamination.
Sinks are the second most important thing on a countertop. Whether its stainless steel, composite, cast iron, or ceramic, the sink can drastically affect the look of any project. Take this into consideration carefully when selecting your sink. 90% of the sinks that are used today are undermount. This means that the sink is mounted under the stone rather than simply being dropped in, this is known as a drop-in sink.
Gentle, inexpensive, and simple routine cleaning are the keys to maintaining your new stainless steel sink. Clean regularly with a mild detergent solution and/or clean water applied with a soft cloth or sponge. Rinse and towel dry after every use (to prevent mineral deposits from building up on the surface of the sink).

We had our countertops done by the marble room in our kitchen and two bathrooms. We are extremely pleased with the service we received here. Pricing was the best in the area for what we were looking for. The crew that installed our order did a fantastic job. Definitely recommend! Worth checking out if you're shopping around.

Bait and Switch!!! Called in from FL and verified with Valentina an install date for one of our rental properties. Was assured it could be done not this week but the following Monday, which was VERY Important because we live out of state and have to show the apt. to rent it out and be able to return to FL. ( we also have to live on the floor of an empty apartment while we wait!!)
Then we were called 2 days before our install date and told that they have to RESCHEDULE us for the following Friday, nothing she could do about it!!!! Are you kidding me???This is our business! We have many appointments

Poor quality of work, horrible customer service; THE OTHER REVIEW IS BY THE OWNER, NOT A CUSTOMER. Had new granite countertops installed by The Marble Room at a total price of over $7,000. Poor fabrication resulted in uneven edges and corners chipped out that were noticeably repaired with epoxy. The owner denied any epoxy repairs even though the installers confirmed them. When the owner was told about this, she offered to reimburse $200, or remove the granite and keep 10% and, "I could find someone else to do it." Avoid The Marble Room and their associated companies. Poor workmanship and worse
