Camp Mishawaka is proud to provide kids with the activities, role-models, environment, and community that will enrich their lives. Located in the Northwoods of Minnesota, Camp Mishawaka offers two, four, six and eight week sessions for boys and girls ages 8 to 16. We believe that our traditional residential summer camp experience provides those oh-so-important intangibles that children need to succeed and thrive in the modern world.

Services
Since 1910 Mishawaka has been in the business of helping children become their best selves. Summer after summer, we've seen transformation after transformation occurring in children's lives. When you take kids out of their routine summers and immerse them in a fun, technology free, outdoor camp setting, magical things happen.
Two-week sessions include all programs and activities. These sessions include the traditions of the Teams, Tap-Out, Day-Trips, Overnights and regular daily activity schedules. Each session culminates with an awards campfire and presentation of the shields and feathers. The quintessential Mishawaka experience, the traditional Four-Week session includes all the elements of the Team Competition (Tap-Out, games, swim and track meets and Sabotage).
Hang out and tell stories around a camp fire, throw huge airs behind a tournament ski boat, or participate in a log rolling competition - Camp Mishawaka will provide you a summer to remember! On the shores of beautiful Lake Pokegama, Camp Mishawaka offers over 30 fun and exciting traditional summer camp activities.
Campers choose their own activities and may wish to concentrate their efforts in two or three areas, or sample a wide variety. We like to boast about our 30 different traditional summer camp land and water activities - explore them for yourself! Being on the beautiful shores of Lake Pokegama allows us to offer a whole gamut of watersports.
Our outdoor range includes top-notch equipment, instruction, and the opportunity to progress with Camp Mishawaka Archery levels. A full-size soccer pitch nestled in a pine plantation is one of the most striking physical features of the camp. Qualified instructors oversee play within the camp as well as matches with other camps.

Perhaps the greatest thing I have ever done for my child was sending him to Camp Mishawaka where he could learn to be independent, work with others, and be a kid without the distractions of phones, technology, and everything else taking up kids' time these days. After 4 summers, I am still amazed at the maturity, confidence, physical and emotional development that camp provides. The memories made and friendships established will last a lifetime.

Camp Mishawaka is incredible - it is everything that a classic summer sleepaway camp "should" be. Our kids had an incredible time, and came back as happy, confident, and grounded as I've ever seen them. The staff is thoughtful, dedicated, and kind, and we are looking forward to many more Mishawaka summers!

Our children (three boys, now 20, 18 and 14) have attended Camp Mishwaka since they were 9/10 years old. As with any family, our boys are individuals and have their own interests; however, one thing that they all love beyond words is their time at Camp Mishawaka. I am eternally grateful for their experiences at camp - spending time without screens, in one of the most natural and beautiful environments on the planet and learning how to be an independent, caring young adult. My kids met other kids from all over the world who will be life-long friends. I can't say enough about the staff - everyone

As a previous Happy Camper 40 years ago, we decided to send both our kids to Camp Mishawaka 4 years ago and every Summer they come back home Happy as can be, and wishing they could have stayed longer.
Believe it or not , Teenagers happy to be without any electronics and enjoying all the benefits of the Minnesota Outdoors interacting with their peers..
Every Summer their personalities have blossomed and developed more & more.
The values and teachings from Management down to every counselor at Camp Mishawaka has been a great asset to our Kids education.

Best place for kids EVER! Gorgeous setting on Lake Pokegama filled with traditions and traditional values set since 1910. This camp exceeded our expectations and my kids can’t wait to go back each year! Kids need a place where they can connect with each other on a face-to-face level - a no technology zone - and love it!

I was a Chippewa at Camp Mishawaka!
When I was younger, I used to spend my summers here in Northern Minnesota on the shores of Lake Pokegama. This summer camp has been a family tradition, as my uncle also attended.
This camp is a boys camp, but there's also a girls camp down the road. It was here that I learned how to fish, canoe, swim, hike, and be a boy! Attendees stay in cabins by the lake, eat in the mess hall, live most of their summer without electricity or showers. It's a great time!
