KLAMATH YACHT CLUB is located on the shore of Upper Klamath Lake, Oregon's largest. Upper Klamath Lake boasts a beautiful mountain setting, but the nearby low hillsides channel the winds for fairly steady sailing conditions. Average wind speeds of 8-15 knots make Upper Klamath Lake a great place to sail and race.

KLAMATH YACHT CLUB is home to keelboats, catamarans, trimarans, Walker Bay dinghies, centerboards, sailboards and powerboats. The fifty square miles of water offer more than enough sailing room. From anywhere on the lake, you can fish, watch eagles and pelicans, spend the entire day sailing and return to home port or anchor in a protected bay for overnight camping.
Services
The Club is a mutual benefit corporation governed by Oregon law. We are a volunteer organization. New member applications require sponsorship by a current club member. The applications are available in the clubhouse at the bar. The board prefers that candidates for membership stop in and pick up an application personally and meet some of the members.
ALL BOAT OWNERS are required to carry liability insurance to cover damage to other boats and/or injury to persons. ALL RACERS should understand that racing can be dangerous. Neither KYC or its officers and agents will accept liability for damages or injury caused while racing. Life jackets may be required for all participants when so indicted by the race committee.

We've been here for special events and is been good. Facilities are a little dated, but functional. Bar is up a curved flight of stairs, so access is limited. Good view over the lake and if sunsets.
