Feel fortunate to have a market such as this. The people here make sure you very welcome, and their ability to share their knowledge is second to none. It's a win-win when coming here! Love my co-op! When you read and see what is going on with our food supply coming from the big chain stores, it's nice to know you can buy local meat, eggs, etc, help the economy locally, and, best of all, know where your food comes from.

Learn more about Menomonie Market Food Co-op and what sets us apart from other grocery stores. Menomonie Market Food Co-op was started in 1973 by a small group of Menomonie residents as a food buying club with one goal: creating access to good food. Since then, close to 3,000 people have invested in our co-op by becoming owners, and in return, we operate for their benefit.
Crystal manages the daily operations of the business and creates strategic planning that put our Ends into action. Isabelle provides organizational, financial, data analysis, and supply support to all departments. Astrid helps the people of Menomonie Market by supporting our wonderful staff, owners, and Board of Directors.
This year, our Thanksgiving turkeys will be sourced from three local suppliers. Founded in 1989 by Pete Thorfinnson, Kadejan is a supplier of free-range turkeys and chickens located in Glenwood City, Minnesota. Their turkeys are fed a non-GMO diet of corn, soy, and essential vitamins, are air-chilled, and arrive USDA fresh but may be slightly frozen at pick up.
Visit the front desk or call the store when you arrive, and staff will bring you your order. NEW! Pick up your Thanksgiving order from our Eau Claire location (formerly Just Local Food Co-op) by choosing that store as your pickup location at checkout. All meal options serve 3-4 people, and they will be chilled and ready to heat and serve upon pick up.
Submitting a product request does not guarantee that we will carry it, but we will do our best to accommodate your request. I moved to the Chippewa Valley from a more metropolitan area and was delighted to find this gem after being here for a year and a half and not having access to any natural food stores. I come to this co-op multiple times a week at various times a day and so far the only complaint I have is their breakfast pastries and burritos. I have a dairy allergy and canβt eat cheese so the only breakfast burrito I can eat is the vegan one, and all it is is bell peppers, corn, sweet potatoes and onions with some seasoning - and it never changes, thereβs no protein in it either which is frustrating, because

I love the natural food selection here (a little
Pricey sometimes), the beer/wine area, and the cute deli area. But I tried your Bahn mi for the first time and all it is, is a pulled pork sandwich. This would be an insult to the authentic Vietnamese Bahn mi sandwich. The creator of this sandwich should go eat an authentic Bahn mi sandwich and taste the HUGE difference.

The Menomonie Market Food Coop had truly become almost a destination store. From humble, but still fantastic beginnings in the small space across from the Waterfront, to the full-size space it has now.
The selection is superb, prices are fair for what is being sold, and staff go above-and-beyond to make it a good experience every time I visit.
Definitely stop here if you are if town.
