You have to visit this lovely cafe, we hated to leave after our meal! Pizza, (wonderful sauce)and the turkey sandwich, and the wedge salad (homemade blue cheese dressing to die for,) kept us oohing and ahhing, then we had to get a milkshake and a piece of the strawberry cake, OMG! There was something so calming about the sunny day pouring into the enormous windows, but I'm sure a good cloudy day would be cozy. Breakfast is served till 11, we'll have to get out the door earlier! The staff was perfect!

Had a great time here this morning with the whole family. Coffee was so good, I had a second. I had a Breakfast Burrito, but the pastries loomed amazing. I would have given this a five, but they didn't have much pastries to purchase since it was late in the morning and close to the holidays. I now understand why my son comes on a regular basis.

Looks cute but my croissant sandwich was too salty. They did not mix my iced mocha well at all so it wasn’t sweet. The chocolate clumped at the bottom and was stuck to the sides of the cup so I couldn’t stir it in. The wait for drinks was kind of long. The cold brew I got tasted like an Iced coffee and tea combined. I’m not sure how the reviews are so good.

Great ambiance in an old, restored building in a charming town. Not 5 stars because the food is good but not great, and the portions are SMALL. The breakfast burrito was yummy, but tiny. The biscuits and gravy is above average. Sandwiches are fresh and tasty. Baked goods are old fashioned and spot on.
Service is a little slow and not very friendly, but they get the job done.
They also sell their cheeses here, which are truly amazing, but oh so expensive. A small wheel of Brie is $25.

I moved to Deary in 2009, but moved away in 2015. Just this past year I moved back here and in my absence The Pie Safe has opened! What an asset it is to the local community. I honestly have not had anything on the menu that I didn't like, but my favorites are.
Breakfast menu:
Breakfast burrito
Pancakes and sausage
Biscuits and gravy
Lunch:
ALL pizzas!
The parking fills up pretty fast and the lines can get long, but I promise it's worth the wait.

Homestyle food with an upgrade. I’m willing to try anything the Pie Safe serves...they haven’t failed me yet! The cinnamon rolls alone are worth the drive. Try any of the melty cheese sandwiches. Savor their heart warming soups. Admire the fine craftsmanship of the hand made items they have for sale. Before you leave...take a stop in the restroom because even the stalk doors are exquisitely crafted. If you can get a reservation, the special dinners are where it’s at.

We had a great experience at the pie safe. The service is wonderful. Highly recommend the apricot and brie sandwich. They were also able to split our pizza, so we got to try margarita and alfredo. The alfredo is not heavy at all and the margarita had balsamic vinger. The huckleberry pie was fanstatics, a must try. The labneh and cheese are made in house, the labneh with herbs is amazing.

The Saturday morning breakfast specials were delicious! We tried both the Biscuits and Gravy and a half portion of the Eggs Benedict (shown). The portions were just right and the fresh fruit was the perfect accompaniment. The mochas were worth driving 45 minutes - what a treat! We will definitely be back.

Sooo disappointed! Came here based on reviews and man was it the complete opposite. Where do I start? The service was terrible! No personality and they act like you're an inconvenience. We ordered two pizzas, one cheese, one pepperoni and 2 cups of potato soup. If you like the taste of burnt popcorn this is your pizza! Literally it just tasted like one big piece of burnt popcorn, the crust burnt to a crisp. The cheese was absolutely terrible and the soup had no taste! The bread that came on the side was the ONLY good thing! Won't be back.

Taking a break from Moms' Weekend at WSU and discovered a country treasure! My Brie and caramelized onion grilled cheese sandwich, on homemade sourdough bread with housemade cheese I might add, was outstanding. My son's meal was equally delicious, ending with a lovely tart cherry pie. We'll be back!

We try and visit The Pie Safe as often as we are able, it is such a wonderful place! The whole experience from the exterior view, to the beautiful and charming interior, the exceptional food, service, and overall atmosphere is amazing.
The Exterior:
The exterior of the building has been beautifully restored, previously the building was surrounded by gravel all the way up to the door, the windows of this poor building were mostly boarded up with paint chipping off. Now, however, the brickwork has been cleaned beautifully, the boards in the windows replaced with glass providing a lovely view for

This may be one of the most incredible finds in years. A quaint, surgically clean bakery/almost french cafe in a restored service station. The food is exquisite, the cheese is incredible and the bread is almost perfect. Worth the drive, every time.
My only single small suggestion is an espresso machine.
Oh, and the bathrooms? Nicer then a 4 star hotel.

Well 1st time here... I'm a foodie so this was a must. The warmth and greetings entering we're not existent. I mean, 2 young ladies who saw us walked away. 'We weren't from around there' kinda feel. Awkward.
Ordered a danish & cream puff. (Also cheese to go). I'm not a danish lover..too flaky crunchy bready..etc. BUT. WHAT JUST HAPPENED? This was by far the absolute best bite of cheese danish that ever existed. Soft perfectly baked dough & crust. The cream in the middle was off the hook. Like Iron Chef perfection. I have to replicate that. It wasn't too

Beautiful establishment, and incredible food!
The Pie Safe is a worthy destination. We braved sub-freezing icy roads the first time we went, and were not disappointed. They make their own cheese and pastries, and it is done to perfection. Friendly staff, beautifully renovated and open building, and great for events.
I look forward to our next trip!

If the Pie Safe had opened in Moscow, it'd have a line out its door. If it had opened in Portland, Seattle or or San Francisco, food writers would be raving about it and it would be topping Eater's Heatmap. The fact that food this good, in a space this impressive, exists in Deary, Idaho is nothing short of a miracle.
Before coming to the Pie Safe, I knew two things about Brush Creek Creamery. The first, is that that they make delicious cheese and sell it at the Moscow Farmer's Market. The second was a rumour that every time someone from the community that runs the Creamery enters
