Our family invites you to come take plantation tours of our historic ancestral home or use us as your next event venue. Although the mansion was not built until 1888, it has been continually lived in by the original builders family for 6 generations and contains ALL original family furniture, china and plantation memorabilia.
Ardoyne Plantation house is listed on the National Register of Historic Places as possibly the largest and most elaborate example of Rural Victorian Gothic Architecture in the state of Louisiana. We love our customers, so feel free to visit during our scheduled tour times of 9:30 AM, 11:30 AM and 2:00 PM (Tuesday-Saturday and sometimes on Sunday).

We will happily help you plan your visit to Houma and suggest an itinerary for your group. Tickets may also be purchased at the door, if available. Note that same day tickets are not sold ONLINE the day of the tour and can only be purchased at the door. LOCATION: Located just 2 miles from Highway 90 at Exit 200; Turn right toward Houma on Hwy 311.

Very educational! Its like walking in to a time warp...everything is antique and original...owner is very sweet and has no problem answering any questions...the kids also got to do a neat scavenger hunt through the tour and got a prize at the end....and also got to feed the peacocks! Deff. Worth the trip

Our family of six (two adults, a teenager, a preteen and two kids) really enjoyed this tour of Ardoyne plantation! This is not just an empty mansion and plantation. It’s a working plantation, where the owner leased the sugarcane plantation to local farmers. All the furniture were past down through generations. The family stories that our tour guide/owner shared with us made it so much more lively and personal. She actually lives there. In addition, she provided our kids a scavenger hunt and prizes for them to keep them engaged! It was definitely worth a visit!

The house has character, a lot of family connections to historical people and a few hollywood movies. The guide was very acknowledgeable of the history of the house, very kind and patient with our kids and also they have a few games and rewords for kids. If you have around Houma and have a couple hours free, it is very recommend

We loved touring Ardoyne Plantation. I've adored the beautiful Gothic home since I was a child, and to tour it, see it, and live its history was a joy and a privilege. There are few Louisiana plantation homes that are still in the original family and have original furniture and heirlooms, and Ardoyne stands out among those few. We highly recommend!

Ardoyne Plantation includes original fixtures and interior finishes plus furnishings and contents from six generations. Our tour was conducted by a family member and included most of the rooms in the house. Seeing such a complete plantation home was like a trip back in time! Definitely recommend seeing this treasure.

There are so many unique and great things about this plantation. First of all it is Victorian Gothic structure, one of the most impressive you will ever see. Second the property is still owned by descendants of the original owners. So they have kept all the interior furnishings intact, and they have all the family history of the past, which they describe for you when you go on the tour. We loved it here.
