The Law Offices of Susan Deedy is a highly regarded law practice serving parents of children with disabilities in New York City, Nassau, Suffolk and Westchester counties. It is our goal to develop an open communicative relationship with parents so that they are confident that the firm is delivering an exceptional service in this very specialized area of law.

We assist parents in the entire process of obtaining the right services for their child, which includes obtaining appropriate evaluations, developing an individually tailored I.E.P., finding an appropriate public or private school placement and seeking public funding of private school placements.

Alexandra graduated from the City University of New York Law School in 1994 and has extensive experience in the area of special education law. From 1992 through 1995 she worked at Advocates For Children, Inc. (AFC) representing parents of children wi.

Richard F. Corrao is an experienced litigator and dedicated child advocate attorney who received his Juris Doctor from New York Law School and his Bachelors of Science from the New York Institute of Technology.Admitted to practice in the State of Ne. Mr. Qamer is an experienced litigator who has tried numerous special education cases before administrative tribunals and criminal cases in New York City courts.
Richard F. Corrao is an experienced litigator and dedicated child advocate attorney who received his Juris Doctor from New York Law School and his Bachelors of Science from the New York Institute of Technology.

Admitted to practice in the State of New York and the federal U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, Richard is a member of the New York State Bar Association and its Elder Law and Special Needs Sections, and is a member of the Council of Parent Attorneys and Advocates ("COPAA") and the National Allies for Parents in Special Education ("NAPSE").
Mr. Qamer is an experienced litigator who has tried numerous special education cases before administrative tribunals and criminal cases in New York City courts. After graduation from Brooklyn Law School, Mr. Qamer was an assistant District Attorney at the Brooklyn District Attorney's Office where he was part of a unit responsible for prosecuting crimes occurring within or around Brooklyn public schools.
Jean Sullivan worked at Scotiabank for 10 years as a U.S. Treasuries Bond Trader, after graduating from SUNY Albany in 1989. Jean has extensive experience as an office assistant/manager in various offices. She joined the Law Offices of Susan Deedy in 2009 and handles all office administration matters and maintains an efficient office, while also offering a personable and compassionate style when dealing with parents.
