I use a lockbox to leave my electronic key fob and gate key for my dog walker. The box would not open with the keys inside even though three people tried multiple times. I figured I needed a locksmith to get it open. I called PHS and talked to the locksmith. He told me to use a mallet and tap on the box on all sides to dislodge the stuck keys. He said that is what he would do if he came out and if it didn't work he could open the box but it would destroy it. He said try the mallet first otherwise if he comes out he will charge $115. I used a hammer (no mallet available) and did what he said

Phil was able to re-key 4 different doors on our new 110 year old house so we only have one key. All the doors were different styles from different eras. He made the swing doors more secure with bigger strike plates. He was polite, professional, efficient and prompt. Would absolutely use them again.

These guys are awesome. They saved me between $150-500 maybe more by simply being honest and spending time evaluating my antique Mortise front door lock. They determined the issue and suggested some possible solutions. I took the lock home reinstalled it and made a minor adjustment ie didn't tighten a couple screws so tight and my lock works great.
I will go on... I called them and they let me come in before the store even opened and spent probably 25 minutes with me gave me a free spare part and sent me on my way. It is great to know that a reliable old school business like this still exists

Everything about PHS Locksmiths was great! I called and provided information on what services I was look for with the receptionist/someone in the store, then spoke directly to Joe, and texted him pictures of the problem/issue needing to be resolved so he had a heads up in what could be the best solution. Joe called me the day of my appointment to let me know there was 1 person ahead of me and to review the services I needed. He then also called me when he was on his way over and arrived promptly within the given appointment time I was originally told. Joe was not only friendly and professional

One of last true locksmiths. They have a showroom of lock and door set options. I needed a mailbox lock set (not just a key) everyone told me it would be around $75, PHS has them for less than $20. They are friendly and professional and didn't make me feel intimidated by asking a bunch of questions.

My doors open like silk. Until now, I never realized how much my quality of life was being impacted by sticky locks. How many times have I apologized about my "touchy" lock? How many times have I explained to someone about how it needs to be "finessed"? And how many times, when there was no one to apologize or explain to, have I sighed and struggled, or how many more times, not even that... just silently accepted that this was my lot in life.
Of course my life was impacted by this! I did this every day of my adult life! I accepted this subtle but constant tyranny without question

I called them on Thursday at the end of the day and they were able to come fix a broken lock on Friday. It was not an emergency but it sounded like if it was they would've been able to come Thursday evening. Felipe was who I spoke with and who I sent pictures via text back and forth with and he was great.
I appreciate his urgency. He also was able to change our locks around a bit so we use one key for 3 separate locks.
If we ever need a locksmith in the future we will use them again!
