You have decided that now is the time for a Shalista Portrait! At Shalista Photography, we begin with the end in mind. Well before your photoshoot, we take care to ensure that your portraits are exactly as you envision! When choosing a photographer, there are so many decisions to make. I like to think though that once you have chosen me, that the hardest decision is over with.
I am looking for 40 diverse women to join me in a one of a kind portrait experience celebrating your beauty and your life. There will be a special exhibit, project magazine and a celebration event to celebrate you and your story. WOMEN OVER 40 DESERVE TO BE CELEBRATED! We are too experienced to not be heard and too beautiful not to be celebrated.
We want to make sure you get exactly what you're looking for. If you don't know, we will guide you. We're full of ideas, locations and directions. If it's a studio style, natural light portraits, or traveling to your favorite destinations, the difference in our images is clear.

Many of us, myself included, suddenly have a lot of time on our hands. I wanted to figure out a way to help my friends in a way that gives some guidance NOW and also will help them for the future. I was talking to a few business friends, and one mentioned she wished she had an email list, but didn't know where to start!

I can’t say enough about my experience with Shalista Photography. I was getting married and wanted to give my husband the best wedding gift ever, so I scheduled a boudoir session with Shalista. When I booked online I was nervous and didn’t know what to expect but once I finished the booking process I immediately received an email with step by step instructions on what to do, what to bring with me the day of and what to expect. The email helped put my nervous to rest somewhat but let’s be honest I was going to be standing in front of people in lingerie how do you calm those nerves?

I contemplated doing a session for months. Being a bigger girl, I was in the mind set “I don’t like looking at myself that way, so why would my husband?” I finally got up the courage to do it as a gift for our 17th wedding anniversary. I remember walking in nervous. That was gone within 15-20 mins top. Shalista and her team are AMAZING. Hair and makeup got me pumped up. We discussed what outfits would work best. Music was rocking’! I was ready. As more time past the more I felt alive. For the first time in a LONG A$$ time, I felt beautiful. The electricity that was flowing through my veins

I was nervous to do this shoot, but wanted something for my husband! When I got there, she was very friendly and professional! I immediately calmed down. Loved getting my hair and makeup done! I felt so beautiful and sexy! I love how my photos turned out. I cant wait for my husband to get his gift! I would absolutely do this again and recommend her to anyone for any type of session!

I can not say enough about how great this experience was! My husband booked this for me as a milestone birthday present. It was a very empowering experience and it proved to me that I am beautiful. As women, we are always trying to look better, feel better, and be better because of how society/advertising portrays women. I believe every woman need to do this photo session. Do it for YOU! Shalista makes you feel comfortable and tells you what to do to get posed. There is no awkwardness or embarrassment. Once you see your pictures you will be blown away!!!

I happened across Shalista's website a few years ago when a friend shared her family photos halista had done for them. They absolutely took my breath away by how gorgeous they were. When I finally decided to do my personal shoot Shalista was everything we ladies should be to each other - kind, encouraging, empowering. The images I received from her are stunning. They aren't fussy or forced or worked over. They are beautiful in their, assumed, simplicity... She has an eye like no other and has a genuine care for her clients.
