We carry a range of mouldings in stock (see our catalog). If we don't have it in stock we can custom make it. We take great pride in our ability to manufacture high quality mouldings in nearly any specie of wood. Most any profile can be duplicated with our modern moulding machinery. Since Portsmouth Lumber's inception, most of the interior and exterior trim and other millwork has been manufactured on site thus ensuring a quality product.

Quality is further enhanced by the technologically up-to-date moulding machines used in Portsmouth Lumber's milling facilities. Portsmouth Lumber also boasts a large warehouse and yard to store and display a wide variety of quality mouldings, plywood, windows, doors, and millwork. Centrally located in the Tidewater, Virginia area, Portsmouth Lumber provides delivery service throughout southeastern Virginia.

Portsmouth Lumber Corporation, established in 1914, has represented the best in quality millwork throughout the Southeastern Virginia area for over a century. Withstanding the Great Depression and two World Wars, Portsmouth Lumber has evolved from horse drawn carts and boxcars to forklifts and flatbed trucks in order to meet the continuously changing standards of the industry.

An amazing yard, a through back to the days when even quite few yards, mill houses were so equipped to run specialized faces. Quite an impressive operation.
I live on the eastern shore and consider a resource such as Portsmouth Lumber, a valued commodity.

I walked in there with no idea what I needed for a DIY project. Chip helped me figure out what I needed and explained a lot to me about the features of the wood itself and how to sand it down for my purposes. He even gave me a 14’ board of knotted white pine for free! His guys cut it down to the sizes I wanted and helped load it in my car. The gentlemen at this company are wonderful! I will definitely be back here for wood for all of my house and backyard projects.

Awesome place with really helpful staff. I needed 3/4” quarter round and all of the big box stores only carry 11/16”. I was referred here by a Lowe’s employee and they have it along with just about anything else you could want.
