Best Metal Products custom hydraulic cylinders are the OEM choice for mission-critical applications throughout industry, and the mobile market.
The growing use of smart cylinder technology is arguably the most significant trend in mobile and industrial hydraulics. The Best Metal Products smart cylinder design uses a magnetostrictive-based sensor that senses rod position and generates an output that enables continuous monitoring of the cylinder rod position.
In the double acting cylinder design, there's fluid on both the base and rod sides of the piston, and force is delivered in both directions. Even for applications where gravity or weight can assist retraction, hydraulic pressure is often applied to control acceleration, meter the rate of travel, and cushion the stoppage.
Telescopic cylinders are manufactured in single acting and double acting hydraulic cylinders. Similar to piggyback cylinders, telescopic cylinders can achieve long strokes while retaining relatively small collapse lengths. Multiple stages of extension enable these longer strokes to be achieved. Our Telescopic cylinders are available in 2 and 3 stage designs.

Moved from Houston to Grand rapids due to family issues, was not given any compensation, relocation, benifits, or even holiday pay after spending $5k of my personal savings to relocate for this company. I even took a pay cut for these guys. Environment is very aggressive and depressing. Everyone looks misrible and treats you as such. Managment was horrible, nobody is on the same page. They were 16 weeks behind schedule, and rush you like its your fault. Very unsafe enviorment, no saftey precautions or hazard awareness. Overall stay away from this sinking ship.
