Dr. Frank Cobarrubia attended podiatry school in San Francisco and completed his surgical training in Miami in 1994. He has been a podiatrist in Central Oregon since 2001 and staffs the Redmond office in addition to the main Bend office. Bryan Wilhelm started practicing in Bend in 1990 after attending Indiana University, California College of Podiatric Medicine, and completing a comprehensive foot and ankle surgical residency in California.
Here are some common foot problems that we treat. The Achilles tendon is the largest tendon in the human body and can withstand forces of 1,000 pounds or more. Both professional and weekend athletes may suffer from Achilles tendonitis, a common overuse injury and inflammation of the tendon.

Ankle sprains are caused by an unnatural twisting or force on the ankle bones of the foot, which may result in excessive stretching or tearing of one or more ligaments on the outside of the ankle.Chronic ankle instability is a condition characterized by a recurring "giving way" of the outer (lateral) side of the ankle.

Hello, just opened this account so I could review Northwest Foot Care. I have been receiving care for a couple years now from Dr. Wilhelm for an IPK callus and complications from long term toe nail fungus. He did minor surgery on an ingrown toe nail and the results far exceeded my expectations. I tell him the toe he did surgery on is now my favorite toe, because to me, it looks like a work of art. If you want to see a Podiatrist who can diagnose a problem, who does exceedingly fine surgical work, then check him out. He is quiet, but I value having a competent doctor whose work I trust. Just one

Doctor frank covered over my Heel spur with a blue sticker before my X-ray. I saw my X-ray from central Oregon radiology they where different. Seems weird how the part of the bone spur covered by the sticker didn’t show up on these X-rays? He gave me bio freeze which I’ve bought before on Amazon And a pair of heel lifts that I could have bought at most grocery stores. He said that I wouldn’t want corrective surgery. I asked him what a five year plain would look like. He told me to keep up the same stretches I’ve been doing for 3years and ice my heel. Doctor Frank said that he wasn’t kicking

I went in yesterday to see if my toenail needed to be removed from a stubbed toe injury that wasn’t healing properly. My experience was TRAUMATIZING. Unfortunately, this is by no means an exaggeration. I couldn’t process it until this morning. A doctor must be in a well adjusted state of mind to care for patients that are in pain. His body language was HOSTILE. This was the worst doctor interaction I have ever had. I am so thankful my husband was with me!

Hard to put into words how Dr. Frank helped me. I had been dealing with a plantar plate tear for a year and a half, had seen ten different doctors in both PA and CA, had one misdiagnosed bone biopsy, and one “corrective” surgery. Six months later I was still suffering and every doctor wrote me off. Traveling to Bend to see Dr Frank changed my life. He was the first doc to LISTEN. To actually sit and listen to me without rushing. I had surgery to correct the ongoing issue that was debilitating my whole life, and during the entire process - pre and post op - Dr. Frank was incredible. After three

The experience was MOST EXCELLENT from the phone call to finished visit. Dr. Chotechuang was amazing to talk to and he fixed my Mom's hammer toe right there in a matter of minutes. His professionalism and honesty was outstanding as well as his chair side manner.
Thank you Sir, you have gained my referral to everyone.

I have been so impressed by the personalized and proactive treatment I received from Dr. Wilhelm. I had severe inflammation and swelling in the ball of my foot and we managed it without surgery relatively quickly. I received multiple phone calls to check in on my condition throughout the time period and really felt like Dr. Wilhelm cared greatly about fixing my pain. Highly recommend!

Office staff is excellent and friendly. Dr. Wilhelm takes great care when examining my feet for chronic pain, and always manages to control it for another year with adjustments to my orthotics. This keeps me on the trails hiking in Central Oregon! I recently got a shot in my foot that didn't hurt! You ROCK, Dr. Wilhelm!

Dr. Cobarrubia and his office staff were amazing. Can't ask for better care and treatment for a first surgery experience. Everyone is genuinely nice and caring and definitely eased my worries of surgery. He even called me on a Saturday to check and see how I was doing. I would definitely recommend Dr. Cubarrubia to anyone in need.

I was passing through Bend on a roadtrip and after waking up in the middle of the night from pain decided I needed a professional to fix a toenail damaged by rock climbing shoes. Contacted Northwest Foot Care and got a same-day appointment with Dr. Frank. I couldn't be happier or more impressed with the level of care, in a single appointment Dr. Frank fixed the nail and I can honestly say the experience was FUN - a first for a minor surgical procedure. He's very talented and has tremendous bedside manner, I'm incredibly relieved and thankful to have the problem resolved. I'd recommend Dr. Frank

Dr. Frank not only stopped the pain in my left foot, he detected a hereditary disorder that could have crippled me. During my intake call, the office staff knew my situation was unique and scheduled a 1 hour appointment for me to see Dr. Frank. I never felt rushed, he asked all the right questions, and before I knew it, I had a medical plan that was easy to understand, financially manageable and I never felt like I was alone throughout the process. He was vested in finding a way to treat my feet.
I am now symptom free & most important pain free.
Dr. Frank and his staff are the epitome of what
