Services
Sophie is a graduate of the physical therapy program from University of Maryland at Baltimore in 1993. She has worked as a licensed physical therapist in a variety of clinical settings, including inpatient & outpatient hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, and private practice settings. Sophie has gained her extensive physical therapy experience in treating many musculoskeletal and neurological conditions.
Sophie is incredibly kind, attentive and thorough during the treatment process. Three years ago, I went to her for sciatic pain that I struggled with for years, and my pain began to decrease after my first appointment. It only took about 6-8 more sessions to make the pain go away completely. I recently went to her again for for neck/arm pain related to prolonged computer use, and she worked her magic once more.

I was in a great deal of neck pain when I first visited the Center. I was unable to use my shoulder and arm effectively and felt that I was going to be limited in what I could do in the future. Sophie worked with me over the course of two months, helping me with posture and stretches and massage. I have finished my course of treatment and am completely pain-free and fully functional. Thank you, Sophie. I love your mild manner and strong encouragement.

Sophie provides physical therapy treatments coinciding with ultrasound technology and acupuncture treatments to help with my many musculoskeletal injuries from car accidents; from my neck to back to feet. Like in other reviews, I had previously sought other physical therapy help for years to no avail until I met Sophie. Sophie changed my life. I am very happy with the care received from Sophie. She is very kind, knowledgeable and professional. Her knowledge and experience of both eastern and western medicine has resulted in quick improvement of my frozen shoulder after just 3 visits. I highly recommend Sophie Deng at Holistic Acupuncture & Physical Therapy Center. I had lower and middle back pain that I have been dealing with for years and she did a great job at understanding the problem and treating it effectively.
She spent the first session really evaluating me and asking questions to provide the best therapeutic approach for my problem. It was a blend of PT exercises and Acupuncture. I had never had Acupuncture before and I was surprised that it didn't hurt and actually felt wonderful and so relaxing. I felt progress had been made after every session.

I had physical therapy sessions with Sophie for about a month to deal with a severe shoulder pain. To my surprise the combined treatment of acupuncture and physical therapy method was very effective and relieved my long lasting shoulder pain in a matter of a few weeks. Sophie is a caring, attentive, and knowledgeable therapist who knows how to use holistic approach to treat pain. The serene office atmosphere and the soothing music played during the session, as well as effective and caring treatment all sums up to the name “Holistic Acupuncture and Physical Therapy Center”.
