Molokai Ohana Health Care
The medical department provides internal, pediatric and family medicine services to the community, along with enabling services such as case management. Our dental services include fillings, crowns, bridges, root canals, dentures, extractions, simple oral surgery procedures and preventative & emergency care.

These services offer assistance when habits, behaviors, stress, worry, or emotional concerns about physical or other life problems interfere with someone's daily life. WIC is a federally-funded nutritional program that has been an asset for Molokai families in need. The vision of the organization is that all people have optimal physical, mental and spiritual health.
Services
Community Health Centers (CHCs) are a critically important part of our health care system in Hawai'i. They provide comprehensive, culturally competent, quality primary health care services to medically underserved communities and vulnerable populations. Health centers are community-based and patient-directed organizations that serve populations with limited access to health care.
In 2002, MOHC applied for and received funding through the Bureau of Primary Health Care under Section 330 of the Public Health Service Act to develop a freestanding, centrally-located community health center providing core primary health care services that include family practice, behavioral health services, a dental clinic, nutrition services including the Women, Infant, and Children program (WIC), care enabling services such as outreach, care management, and eligibility services.
At Molokai Community Health Center, we believe that financial challenges shouldn't stop you from getting the care that you need. Consistent to our mission and values, MCHC staff can offer insurance coverage options and financial assistance in a number of areas, and help make sure that the quality of care you need comes at a price you can handle.
Molokai Community Health Center is looking for potential employees who will represent the vision, values, and mission of MCHC. Molokai Community Health Center is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer.

All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender identity, gender orientation, age, disability, national origin, citizenship status, veteran status, marital status, ancestry, pregnancy, ethnicity, or any other legally protected status in accordance with the requirements of federal, state, and local law.
The health center's approach for meeting community needs includes providing integrated services through a single point of access, hiring from the target population whenever possible, strongly emphasizing preventive health, and working collaboratively with other health and human service organizations locally and nationally.

I'm very disappointed in the services being provided here. They don't have a consistent doctor, have failed to submit referrals for blood test, and fill medications. Overall many people have experienced incompetence while under the care of the community health center. They use the statistics of native hawaiians to acquire more funding but do not actually serve the at risk and in need community of native hawaiians. The MCHS needs to do better!

Today, we went to a Menehune Craft Fair and a Heath and Wellness Fair. This fair was open to everyone!! Maui police made an obstacle course for the keiki and they gave away hats and other great gifts for them that complete it :) Menehune Craft Fair had jewelry, lip gloss, scrunchies, and face painting. They also served food - veggie burger and poke plates, as well as drinks - acai and orange dream. Yum! Inside the Molokai Community Health Center pavilion was open and had different vendors such as MEO, HMSA, and even served health foods and smoothies.

I went here with my mom and my grandfather

We have an infant that we breastfeed. They force us to give our child formula because the pediatrician insisted. When we insisted that the baby had gained a reasonable amount of weight no different pattern then of our 5 previous children in growth. They called in the police that would not let us leave until the baby ate 4 oz of formula. The child was full term and with strong vitals. They overridden our right to chose to not us formula and breastfeed. We had ok service for the 3 years before. But we strong believe in our personal right to make our children's health decisions. I would not recommend

I enjoy the convenience of being able to have my daughter' s doctor' s and dentist' s office on the same property.

it is fairly easy to schedule an appointment with either. staff are friendly, wait time is minimal.
