Services
Founded in 1973, the approach of Kinsey Agricultural Services has always been that of providing a consulting service specifically dealing with soil fertility and problems that are closely related. Initially begun as a one-man soil fertility consulting service for problem soils, Neal Kinsey was trained and certificated as an agronomist by Dr. William A. Albrecht, Professor Emeritus of Soils, University of Missouri/Columbia.
Our business is advice. We want to help you achieve better soils, improve your crop quality, and obtain better yields. That being the case, we offer both soil analysis where we will use our previous 40+ years of experience to help balance your soil's nutritional content.
If you would like to learn some of the fundamentals behind our recommendations so you can apply it to your own crops, we also offer courses throughout the year ranging from introductory concepts to advanced studies on specific soils.

Once the soil is properly corrected in terms of the needed fertility levels, is there any good reason to keep testing the soil every year? Due to the nature of our business it would be to our benefit when someone decides to have us do another set of soil samples and recommendations for them! So for some it may be easy to assume that any further answer given to such a question would simply be geared toward that end!
An accurate soil analysis is vital to understanding your soil. To achieve this, an accurate soil sample is needed. Samples originating outside of the U.S. require specific USDA clearance, and may also have to be priced differently according to the service you require - please contact us for the proper procedures, and information concerning cost of analysis and turn-around time before sending any soil or plant samples from outside the U.S.A.
Please contact our office for specific instructions to ship soils to us from other countries, and/or receive a current price list. We can receive samples from countries around the world. Due to United States Customs and USDA requirements, samples we receive may have to have specific shipping instructions and procedures.
