The Anacapa Yacht Club (AYC) was established in 1967 with the intended purpose of promoting sailboat racing in the Oxnard area. AYC has provided an excellent racing program to area boaters for many years and continues to do so. Our longest running race, and still one of the most popular, is the Anacapa Island Race Series.
Our most popular event is our Wet Wednesday series, held every Wednesday evening from March through October. Along with our renowned racing program we have regular cruising events. AYC's cruising is offered to both sail and power boats with a heavy emphasis on friends, family and fellow boaters. AYC is a self-help yacht club with it's members providing all of the human resources necessary to put on the many events during each year.

Services
Our cruising is offered to both sail and power boats with a heavy emphasis on friends, family and fellow boaters. Our venue will be of two types: "Scheduled Cruises" and "Flash Cruises". Scheduled cruises will usually be on holiday weekends and pre-planned. Flash Cruises can be initiated by any club member when a weather window is favorable, usually within the week of the event and a group mailing will be available to all members.
