Our family-owned and operated funeral chapel has reached its fourth generation. Established in 1965 by Willard and Bernice Evans, we continue to uphold their pledge of providing personalized services that maintain our reputation as caring, compassionate and authentically local Funeral Directors. In addition to our burial services, Evans' is unique in having its own controlled temperature holding room and complete crematory on-site.
Many other cremation services perform their cremations in Seattle or in South King County. Some providers even use a third party to provide care for your loved one. We offer the assurance that your loved one never leaves the care and supervision of our licensed professional staff during the entire cremation process.

In 1963 Willard sold his lumber business in Anacortes, WA and returned to school at the age of 52 to pursue his dream of serving families and owning a funeral home. He graduated from the San Francisco School of Mortuary Science in 1964 and moved back to Washington to begin his career in funeral directing.
Serving families isn't just a business endeavor or a job - it's a caring ministry. The Evans family has held this belief in the highest regard since opening its doors in 1967. We are dedicated to supporting families and helping them navigate life after the death of a loved one. Every employee at Evans, family or not, shares this guiding principle.
Our location is a full-service Funeral Chapel and On-site Crematory. Families can rest at ease knowing their loved ones that come into our care do not leave our facility. We have refrigeration and a crematorium onsite, functioning 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We have a warm and spacious Chapel available to use for traditional or modern services.
Most of us plan ahead in life. We plan for our wedding, our children's education, family vacations, and other significant expected life events. We also plan for the unexpected events of life by purchasing home, auto and medical insurance. Understanding the benefits of pre-planning has prompted many to take the step to plan their own arrangements.
Many who have undergone the emotional strain of arranging a funeral within hours of losing a loved one have made the choice to pre-plan their own funeral. Doing so lifts the burden from their loved ones by relieving decision-making pressure at a time of grief and emotional stress. Funeral arrangements are a deeply personal choice.
