Beware! Dr. Buckner permanently scarred my face with an unnecessary biopsy. I was treated for actinic keratosis (mild sun damage) on my cheekbone and rather than take the conservative approach and treat with a simple topical ointment to see if that cleared the condition (which it did) Dr. Buckner took a deep tissue biopsy and told me that I need not worry because the face does not scar. Well I'm fully healed and now have a very noticeable divot on my cheek which is the first thing people look at when I'm talking to them. Completely avoidable for such a simple to treat and common condition

Please don't go here, I had the worst experience ever going into this Dermatology clinic. At first thought, was going in for normal check up for acne and hairloss due to stress but after felt was getting scolded by the dermatologist. She made me feel worthless and was questioning my academic success. I REPEAT NO INDIVIDUAL SHOULD QUESTION AN INDIVIDUAL SUCESS OR MAKE THEM FEEL LESS THAN AN PERSON. I am proud of who I am and what I have accomplished and had enough of people questioning my decisions and telling me what to do. The office is old & the receptionist doesn't smile & has no customerservice skills. She is not welcoming. The doctor is friendlier & knowledgeable. They are using very old/outdated forms, and when I read the consent form before signing, it says, "I am aware that my procedure could cause sterility." I was only there to have a cyst removed on my back! This seemed rather unprofessional, so I didn't sign and waited to talk to the doctor. The reason I am giving only 3-stars is because while I was waiting, I realized just how very dirty & unsanitary her exam room

Not sure how I feel about this place or the doctor. The office and the exam room looked very messy, stuff everywhere. Front staff person was nice. Though the doctor was very helpful and nice the appearance of the doctor was off. She looked like she a fake wig on, ripped shoes which was very noticeable and way too much sunscreen on her face. Maybe she doesn't care about how she looks or how clean her office.

Dr. Buckner is very knowledgeable, professional, personable and caring. She actually spends time with you to examine you and to respond to your questions, concerns. Dr. Buckner is the most caring doctor I've met. She really cares for her patients and goes above and beyond her duty of care for her patients. I highly recommend her. She has a great office manager who runs the office very well and is very professional.

I am very happy with the great improvement that my skin has shown. I absolutely recommend Dorothy J Buckner Dermatology to anyone who is looking for a chance to healthier and glowy skin. My acne had always been my nightmare and I tried so many products and saw many doctors to reduce my acne but never saw any improvement, instead my skin got more flaky and with much more acne. I am only giving 3 stars because of the receptionist. Dr. Buckner was great. Very nice and very informative. Unfortunately we have had more interaction with the rude receptionist than Dr. Buckner. The receptionist should really learn how to be polite and welcoming to patients, especially since the patients are the reason she gets a paycheck. The very first time I called this office the receptionist had an attitude. I thought maybe she was having a bad day. Nope she just has a bad attitude and is not afraid to let it show.

I went to Dr. Buckner to have what I thought was a cyst, which actually turned out to be a small tumor removed . Dr. Buckner was very professional and precise in her approach towards my care. She was very thorough , also nurturing as she made sure that she completely removed the mast. I felt good and relaxed as she performed my procedure and very happy with the prognosis that I was given. Dr. Buckner has a very nurturing soul, wonderful bedside manner as a few doctor's are. Been going to Dr Buckner for many many years. I've come to her with tears in my eyes because of some conditions I have and she always made me feel better by the time I left. I would categorize her as more than just a doctor. She's a genuine healer. She's great for all kinds of cosmetic dermatology and I can't recommend her highly enough if you're a person of color because our skin heals differently. I have been treated by Dr. Buckner when I lived in San Jose CA 20 years ago. Since moving to Ohio, I have not been able to find a Dermotologist with whom I have such deep trust and confidence in. Before seeing her, I had various skin problems and could not find a doctor that provided relief for my problem. She has done just that. She is the the best I have ever had. I would highly recommend her.
