The seat cushions have been updated and are comfortable. Sadly they're restricting seating due to COVID. Also, the symphony was so badly reduced due to their self imposed COVID restrictions that it made the experience not worth it to me. I see Messiah every year they play it and love it. This year was terribly disappointing. It was like listening to a song on a $10 speaker vs $1,000 one.

I attended "Much Ado About Nothing," a play by UAB Theater students. It was excellent. The actors did such a good job I didn't even notice some of them had masks on at first; I thought only some did. They projected very well so that we could hear in spite of the masks, even though there were no mikes. (It was in the small theater.) The humor was awesome and wonderfully carried out, and the costumes were really beautiful. Really professional as well as entertaining. I would go again and bring more family members if it were not sold out! I really look forward to "Noises Off" and to more plays in

I saw the Alabama Symphony Orchestra perform with special guest Steve Vai. Amazing doesn't seem to do justice to the performances that night. The sound was perfect with no distorted overtones just beautiful ambient reverb. I really enjoyed my evening there. Definitely worth it if you get a chance to go!
