Coastal Hearing Center
Jason V. Smith, M.D., FACS is a board certified otolaryngologist that specializes in medical and surgical diseases of the ear and resection of skin cancer by referral only. Staff is professional, welcoming, and very knowledgeable. My appointment started right on time and the testing process was extremely thorough.

It was clear from the minute I walked into the office and began my appointment that their focus is on their patients' wellbeing. Although many of us regularly have our teeth cleaned, eyes checked, and blood pressure tested, rarely do we have our hearing tested. Yet with the latest statistics suggesting that 1 in 8 Americans have some form of hearing loss, regular hearing assessments have never been more important.
Services
When it comes to caring for your hearing health, it requires a combination of great technology and a methodical care plan to achieve better hearing. With four audiologists that have cared for tens of thousands of ears between them, you can rest assured knowing that your hearing health is being cared for by the Mississippi Gulf Coast's most trusted team of hearing experts.
As all of our practices are based around trust, it always delights us when we receive great feedback from our patients. Browse our reviews for yourself, or if you've recently had a great experience with us, why not make our day and tell the world! Coastal Hearing is the best! I've been dealing with tinnitus over the past few years.
It's a staggering fact that 1 in 8 Americans have some form of hearing loss, whether as a result of the experience-rich life that you have led or due to circumstances such as genetics or things that are out of your control. The biggest challenge is that many patients wait an average of seven years before taking any form of action after recognizing an initial sign of hearing loss.
If you've experienced a sudden drop in your hearing quality, you're getting buzzing noises, or something just doesn't seem quite right, then you need to have a hearing assessment to identify the problem. These quick, painless, and non-intrusive assessments are designed to get to the root of the problem (if there is one), and we'll sit down with you after the test to discuss the results and your options, which means there's no hanging around!
In circumstances where a hearing loss is discovered, one of the most common solutions is hearing aids. But don't worry, hearing aids have drastically changed from the clunky devices that you may remember your grandparents wearing. The latest technology is small, discreet, and, in some cases, even invisible.

Dr. Slater and her staff are wonderful. The waiting room time is minimal, the clinic is spotless, they are all professional and thorough, and most importantly they take the time to make sure I understand all aspects of my hearing health. I highly recommend Dr. Slater and her clinic.

My PCM requested for one of my children to get a hearing test. With the suggestion and help of my PCM I was able to call this location and get my daughter in for her hearing test in less than a week. If you have Tricare you don't need a referral to come here. That was a big help. Audiologist was very professional and patient. Inside was very clean! They had a small corner of children's toys and blocks as well.

Coastal Hearing is the best! I've been dealing with Tinnitus over the past few years. It started out once in a while but had become constant. I received a referral from Keesler Air Force Base to get a hearing test and investigate the new technology for Tinnitus within hearing aids. I'm just shy of 60 and if there was something to get rid of the constant ringing I was all in, even if it meant wearing hearing aids. My first visit was a very through exam for hearing loss and then an additional portion that specifically addressed the Tinnitus. After reviewing all the options in the
