Ingram's Chimney Sweepers has been Inspecting, Sweeping, and Repairing, chimneys for over 40 years. We have serviced thousands of homes in Rochester and the surrounding areas. The CSIA (Chimney Safety Institute of America) recommends having your chimney inspected annually. Your Chimney Sweep will determine if your chimney needs any further attention upon inspection completion.
The term Chimney Sweep has been around since the first chimneys were created in the 13th century. Although the process has changed a bit, the tools used are still somewhat the same. A chimney brush is still used, along with cameras, vacuums, and other special tools. A Chimney Sweep can be conducted from the bottom of the chimney going upward, or from the roof going down depending on the structure of your chimney and fireplace.
An annual Chimney Inspection is crucial to the safety and well being of your home and its occupants. According to the National Fire Protection Association, during the time from 2011-2015, on average 16,810 home structure fires were caused by chimney, fireplace or chimney connectors equaling 31%. The main reason for those fires was failure to clean (71%).
You may or may not need Chimney Repair, depending on the outcome of your Chimney Inspection. Having carbon monoxide detectors in your home will allow you to notice any potential blockages in your chimney. The chimney is what helps to pull out the smoke and poisonous gasses from your home. If smoke or carbon monoxide are getting inside your home, there may be a crack or blockage in the chimney or flue.

Chris and Justin came early, which was awesome for me! I needed a cap and inspection with a possible cleaning. They were upfront and honest and didn't try to sell me something I didn't need. Justin even told me to call if I needed anything and he meant it. They were the only company to reach out to me when I left messages with everyone.
