Mid-Pacific Tattoo started with the flagship location, the yellow plantation house which can be found at 196 Lahainaluna Road, near Front Street in Lahaina. With a couple of years at this successful tattoo studio, we decided to branch out and have a location on Maui's south shore in Kihei, which is very close to Wailea and Makena.
From there more opportunity arose and now we have a total of four top rated tattoo shops, three of which are in Lahaina, West Maui and just a few minutes drive from Kaanapali, Napili, Kapalua and Kahana. With fifteen professional tattoo artists throughout our four tattoo shops, there really is something for everyone.

Tommy is a well traveled tattooer originally from North Carolina. While not tattooing Tommy spends his time with his family relaxing at the beach or exploring the beautiful island of Maui. Tommy has been tattooing for 20 years, specializing in bold tattoos. The most important thing Tommy wanted for Mid-Pacific Tattoo was to provide solid, quality tattoos in a welcoming environment for everyone.
Located at 844 Front St on the top floor in the Mariner's Alley, a two-story resort retail center in the heart of Lahaina. This is our flagship shop is located at 196 Lahainaluna Road in Historic Lahaina town on Maui. Just one block up from Historic Front Street on Lahainaluna Road. Free parking is available for clients behind this shop.

I got my tattoo on November 23 and I have been wanting to write this review for a long time because Tommy was amazing, so better late than never. This was my first tattoo, and let me tell you, it was not a small one. There is a beautiful story behind every tattoo and Tommy brought it to life. I came in for a consultation first and then on the day of, we had changes. Tommy was so good at making sure I was happy with the position and the art work he did, he changed it a few times for me and had a few suggestions as well. Came here for a tattoo consult with Kaib. He was very nice and addressed all of my concerns regarding the tattoo. I was worried that the colors I wanted to get wouldnt show well because of my complexion but he addressed that and I appreciated him not brushing past the topic. Ultimately, I decided to go with a different artist but I would still recommend Kaib.

While in Rome, do as the Roman's do or when in Hawaii, get a Hawaiian tattoo! Lucky me, I got on Kaib's schedule. Dude whipped up a sweet Hawaiian style turtle for me overnight, altered it some on site before he got to work. Dude's got his artwork hanging everywhere on the shop walls so you can see he's a talented artist, and after he started you could tell he was a talented tattoo dude. Got along great and more importantly he was light as a feather. Great shading and style. Love the new ink!

On our recent trip to Kihei we met with the awesome team at Mid Pacific Tattoo in Kihei. Kaib worked with my wife and daughter to design their tattoos and recommended Alex to create an awesome Raven design for me.
They were so fun to work with, we all had concurrent appointments and shared some laughs with Alex and Kaib during our session.
The results were so awesome, both the experience and the tattoos exceeded our expectations.

I was emailing someone before I came over for vacation. I wanted to get a cover up done. Said they recommend I do that with a local artist. I agreed. But still wanted to get a tattoo while I was visiting. I had made arrangements to get a conciliation and book and appointment. I arrive at the time for the conciliation. Well I was emailing the wife who has nothing to do with the shop. And never got my conciliation or tattoo booked. I have never been so angry before. Why is someone the face of the business when they have nothing to do with the business? Why waiste my time, her time, and give out horrible

Apparently tattoos are a hard thing to schedule while on Maui.... Being from NY and now living on the west cost of the mainland, this is a foreign concept to me...... nonetheless, I walked into this place and they were able to squeeze me in for a quick session with Curtis! We were super thank as no one else would even consider taking a walk-in! Class act treatment from beginning to end.... Super clean, professional and friendly experience! This shop will definitely be gaining my business as I frequent the island in the future and Curtis is now my Maui artist of choice! Highly recommend!

Absolutely amazing. I worked with Bry and the entire experience was great. She made me feel at ease, she worked with my design that I wanted and we compromised on position and details. She communicated fast through email. She answered all the questions I had even for days after. The tattoo turned out amazing, the colors are gorgeous.

We called in advance and asked about three very small tattoos. When we got there the tattoo artist was busy with another client, which is fine, but the instant we walked in the woman at the front had an awful attitude. She contradicted herself from the phone call and was just plain rude. It's okay to not be able to accomadate walk-ins but at least be courteous! We walked down to another place and loved the service there with much friendlier people. Also, this place has a $100 tattoo minimum and Skin City has a $75 minimum. We saved money and had a much better experience by going elsewhere

I came in here 2 days ago which was my last day of my Hawaii trip before flying home. I knew in my head what I wanted, came in, they drew it up and the entire process from beginning to end was absolutely amazing.
I apologize if I get the name wrong of my tattoo artist. I haven't quite slept yet from my flight home. I think his name was Jacob. He was absolutely amazing. It was one of the least painful tattoos I've ever had and I'm 200% happy with the work he did. Everyone in this place was friendly and approachable and I'm definitely going to get more work done here the next

Well it was going on 28 years since my first Tattoo and when our planned activities for the day got canceled by my wife I spontaneously decided to go get a Tattoo today.
I phoned and was told to come on down. I was very happy as it was a bit of a search to find a shop open on a Sunday right before Christmas.
I arrived met with Bryanna and came up with a design and budget, decided on location and then I went for lunch as she got busy on the drawing the sketch that would be used as the stencil for the tattoo.
I got a text less than an hour later that she was ready and I arrived back at the shop

What a great experience at the Front Street location. The entire staff was so welcoming and helpful.
Bob is an amazing artist! My wife went in for a touch up on an existing tattoo. Bob was able to bring to life the Bird of Paradise on her back. During the time that Bob was working on her, I finally decided to get my first tattoo. I gave Bob the pictures from my phone and he was able to quickly create a design.

We had Sage do 7 tattoos for 7 different family members while visiting Maui. He did an awesome job. Each tattoo was different. Husband had an old tattoo he wanted covered up on his arm, Sage helped figure out a way to cover it and add tribal detail that turned out awesome. He free handed some of the design himself as the old tattoo was crooked and had to work around it. My tattoo was crossed arrows with both of my son's initials and b-days on my inner arm/wrist , the others were Korean writing under an existing tattoo, Ohana tattoo with a heart and flower, Lotus flower on back of an ankle

The first thing I noticed about this shop was how chill it was, yet very professional.
My artist was Bob. Cool guy, personable, experienced, professional. Absolutely recommend.
The attention to detail on my tat is incredible. Look at the pic - the line work, shading, and color is out of this world! Bob is the best kept secret of the tattoo world.
I'm currently working on a sleeve on my right arm (the arm he worked on). I think that I I've found my go-to artist. Guess I'm gonna have to make a special trip to Maui

MPT has 3 locations in Maui and another in Kihei (I think), all owned by same guy, Tommy Tingle. A few months and several email conversations later I sat down with Matt Myrdal for my consult. Super cool man, quickly understood my needs and went to work on the design.
I returned for my scheduled appointment near the end of my stay and several hours later I had my new souvenir! Tattoos in Maui cost twice as much as they do here in Orange County so don't be shocked.

Like many others, I wanted a permanent souvenir from my Maui trip, and after reading up on all the local tattoo parlors, decided on Mid-Pacific. The receptionist was helpful and squeezed me in on my last day on the island. My artist, Kevin Ferrand, did an excellent job with my request for a manta ray on my chest. He was knowledgeable, friendly and skilled, and made sure to assist me via email with follow-up care. The shop itself was extremely clean and nicely organized, inspiring confidence.
