Back in 1984, I founded Garden City Construction in the small South Louisiana community of Garden City. I quickly realized that to better meet the needs of my clients I must move the business to a more central location, Lafayette, LA. Today, I run the company along with my two beloved sons, Brent and Frederick (Dickie) Billedeaux, where we are rooted in history, yet focused on growth.

At first this company seems like a great place to work, with lots of potential to grow. Once inside it is obvious that it lacks the safety mindset and quality craftsmanship that employees and clients deserve. This is the first company that has told me, in person, that safety is not their number one priority. Not for their employees, not for sub-contractors and not for clients. They do the minimum to complete a project and because of the way that projects are managed, they miss out on increased profitability.
