While the business has changed hands over the years, there has been a dry cleaner at the Mercer St. location since 1952. Today, Service Cleaners Inc. is a family business owned by Vicki Bridges. Vicki has been involved with the business for decades and got her start counting money in the back when she was 12 years old. We take great pride in being a cornerstone in town and look forward to fostering good relationships for years to come. It's all about community.
Services
We make dropping off your clothes as easy as possible. Customers have the option to bring their clothes to our Mercer St. location or visit our other drop-off location at Nationwide Insurance (Mike Romeo) at 3144 E Cumberland Rd., in Bluefield, WV. We also do pickups and deliveries with no minimums.
There is a very small chance that your article will be damaged during cleaning. Fabrics can get caught in machines and torn up. That said, we will do everything we can to treat your clothing and other articles with precious care, and we are insured in case anything happens. Older clothes actually tend to last longer than newer clothes because the fabrics were a higher quality back then and not as cheaply produced.

I needed a pair of shorts hemmed for an upcoming trip. I explained what I wanted and that I would need it quickly. Within 3 to 4 days they were ready and perfect. I sent a message asking if they could alter a shirt for me, and they responded within a reasonable amount of time. Once the shirts are complete I will post an update, but I do not foresee any problems.

I'd like to rate this place a zero! They kept 2 panels of curtains of mine that were only to be altered for over a month. When I remembered about my curtains I went to the place of business and the young lady that was working stated that she was knew she did not know how to work the register to see where my curtains was at and she didn't know how to go in the back to see where my curtains were at she told me to come back at lunch time when there is a sign clearly stating that the store is closed from 12 p.m. to 1 pm. So I came back to the store after 1:30 and spoke to the guy who took the curtains

Well it's time to eat a some crow. After I posted the review below, I received a phone call from the owner Vicki B the same day. She was very concerned about my review and wanted to find out how my pant got ripped. If it was their fault she needed to fix the problem before other customers clothes were damaged. Also, if it was their fault she would reimburse me for the jeans. She stated that there was a dry cleaning association and she would send the jeans there for examination. Long story short, the jeans ripped because they were old and the fabric was weak. Sounds like me. As for not being told

DO NOT COME HERE! WARNING SCAM!!! They don't dry clean your items but charge you pretending they did. So I dropped of 2 garments for dry cleaning and was told they would be done in 3 days. Over 2 weeks later Im told they are done. They tried charging me stating these items were cleaned when THEY WERE NOT! I pointed this out to the owner who then had no choice but admitted they didn't clean the items. I received no apology and it was clear they deliberately lied to get money for doing nothing. I asked the owner how they dry clean and she has no idea stating she just owned the place. Shocking the

I could not believe what my comforter looked like when I opened it and put it on my bed. I thought for sure, Vicky bought me a brand new comforter! I gave her my 8 year old comforter that had rips in it and the worst part was, 2 years ago, I gave my comforter to a local(nc) dry cleaners who destroyed it. I got it back with somebody elses lint, all over it. When I gave it back, they tried to fix it but, made it look older then when I first gave it to them. I bought a vintage duster with multiple possible issues upon cleaning. Aside from years of hanging soiled, the cream fabric was fully trimmed in maroon fur, with multicolored embroidery on the sleeves. They explained the process was risky, but I proceeded. Not only does the duster look practically new (obvious extra effort), the friendly staff cannot be beaten! I've never had such a wonderful experience with a dry cleaner, or many businesses, for that matter. I will make the hour+ drive and pay the tolls ANY DAY to have our specialty items cleaned at Service Cleaners! 💯 A+

I cannot express enough how satisfied i am with the quality and the quickness i receive when i am having my clothing cleaned here. By far a top notch facility that is unmatched in the Princeton area.

I live in Charleston, and I travel to Princeton weekly. The staff is very friendly and helpful. When I need something rushed they try to rush it for me. I even receive a text message when it’s ready for me to pick up my order. My pants crease line is perfect.

Stopped in yesterday to purchase a dry cleaning bag...the entrance area was inviting with the cutest set-up! The gentlemen who helped me was very pleasant and professional. I was very excited to learn this was the dry cleaner from Mercer Street! Thank you for friendliness and when I need dry cleaning I'll be back!
