Collaborative law is a new approach to conflict resolution that provides an effective and fair alternative to the traditional adversarial process. In collaborative law each party is represented by counsel; however the parties and their counsel agree not to proceed to court during the collaborative law process.
Mediation is a process in which a neutral person guides the parties towards the resolution of a dispute. While not giving legal advice, Attorney Daniell will provide legal background information to assist parties in mediation in coming to an agreement. The agreement, at the parties' option may be drafted by the mediator for subsequent filing in court, or in personnel or organizational records.
