Captiva Island Yacht Club
We are a private member-owned club with an exceptional location between the Gulf of Mexico and Roosevelt Channel on Pine Island Sound. This unique setting provides both stunning views and outstanding recreational opportunities as we go beachcombing for shells, or take kayaks and paddle boards out to explore the Channel and Buck Key.

As members of the Florida Council of Yacht Clubs and Yachting Club of America, we have access to over 700 yacht clubs throughout the USA. In Florida, our cruising schedule takes us to interesting and beautiful destinations. Whether or not you own a boat, your participation in luncheon cruises or extended adventures is welcomed.
Services
Restricted reciprocity is available for the Yachting Club of America members for two times during our fiscal year. Use of our club facilities requires a letter of introduction prior to your visit, current membership card at the time of your visit. Payment via Master Card/Visa or Discover. YCOA member clubs in the State of Florida are accepted only from May through September.
The Captiva Island Yacht Club will be the place where water-oriented recreational, social, educational and dining experiences consistently exceed members' expectations and therefore inspire pride and passion in the club. The club will be its members' venue of choice for sharing their island life with family and friends.
Our talented chefs create creative menus that utilize the freshest local ingredients possible with an emphasis on local seafood and produce. Our club offers a variety of settings to enjoy our great food with your family and friends. Commodore's Porch - with a view of Roosevelt Channel, perfect for lunch or dinner on the water.
Check-in and check-out time is 11:00am. Overnight dockage is limited to two consecutive nights unless special arrangements have been made with our Club Manager. Five slips are available with lengths from 62' to 71'. Boats dock bow in. It is important that Bow Pulpits and Swim Platforms fit inside the pilings, and that you dock bow in.
Every Friday night TGIF, a Yacht Club tradition - a great way to get to know new members and to keep up with longtime friends, sharing cocktails, conversations, and dinner. Monthly "Meet the Artist" TGIF's - our Art Selection Committee features a different local artist each month. We have many artists among our members, and their work is featured during April of each year.

There's never a time when the kids in the NSA Junior Sailing Program aren't happy. I see them on the docks and sail through them out on the water for years and while the sailing is sometimes a work in progress, the kids are all having fun. And, they get better and better until they're sailing by in the 420s or Optis doing things most adults wouldn't try. So many potential sailors get turned off by too much early rigor. NSA seems to have cracked the code in making learning to sail enjoyable while delivering life skills. The instructors hover around in a small fleet of Boston Whalers providing a

Unfortunately, as much as I want to, I can't give the CIYC a good review tonight. The only reason they almost did not get a 1 star was because of the very clean and comforting dining area. The overall plate was blander than grits which was not appealing to my pallet one bit. The shrimp came out cold and flavorless and the steak was not even cooked at the correct temperature. The side of potatoes and vegetables were much of the

We were not members of this yacht club, and did not feel welcomed. Yacht clubs, for some reason bring out the worst in people. Only had four boat slips, all four were empty when we arrived, should tell you something. Went to Tween Waters (read my review), next door, for dinner and live entertainment.
