Camden Deli

We stopped in for dinner last night but the closed at 6pm. So this morning we stopped again for breakfast early. You order at the counter and pay when you order. I ordered blueberry pancakes and my husband ordered French toast. If u want water of any kind you buy a bottle. They did not have ice . Anyway we found a table and waited, and waited. The finally brought me pancakes, no blueberries. No apologies on the mistake. Really abrupt not friendly service and average food. We will not be back

Great sandwiches, and a great view while eating lunch. It is VERY busy, so grab a table if you see someone getting up, and don’t be offended if you start getting up to leave and someone is putting their stuff down before you have all your trash picked up. There is a little waterfall and park outside the back window, which is a great place to stretch your legs after you eat that brownie that you shouldn’t have…. But they are good!!

Ate breakfast on the harbor! Such a lovely, unassuming spot. The food is elevated diner fare and the coffee is great!

I ordered a spinach omelette there.
The place opens early, smells good, and has harbor views.

Quickly seated on a Sunday morning with a roof top view overlooking the waterfall. Delicious blueberry pancakes with real maple syrup. Delicious cappuccino.

The worst breakfast ever and expensive. Everything was dried up. The lobster omelette was so dry you could barely cut it with a knife. My husband's ham was thin and like cardboard and the homefries were horrid. The toast wasn't toasted.. just bread. In their defense, there were 3 people doing everything and the only place in town that was open on a Friday of a holiday weekend for breakfast.

Excellent sandwiches. Great views of the harbor inside and out. Make this a stop at least one time if you're passing through.

I bought a blueberry pie there the other day and it was the best pie I ever had. It was pricey but worth every penny. It was so heavy because it was loaded with delicious Maine blueberries and so fresh! Amazing flakey crust. I brought it to a party and fourteen of us feasted with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. The pie was memorable. Thank you!

We got a Cubano sandwich and a BLT. The cubano had a crusty bread, and filled with melty cheese, ham, Turkey and bacon. The BLT was classic and delicious. Sandwiches were served with chips and a pickle spear. Both sandwiches were excellent!

I'd like to start by saying we may have caught them at a bad or busier than usual time. I wish I had an opportunity to go again to know & not post this review, but I was traveling & wont be back anytime soon.

When we entered the ordering system was very confusing. Rather than work left to right like most long narrow service counter delis, their ordering window was to the right end farthest from the door & then you paid at the window closest to the door, meaning you finish ordering right where new people are walking in & confused about what they flow is. That was awkward

Get the blueberry pie! And take it to go to the park nearby to enjoy it with an incredible view. Coffee is great too. Their outdoor deck is fabulous too.

This place was the most unsuspecting gem in a town full of incredible experiences, food, shopping and more.

Truth be told, we landed here at an awkward time in the afternoon when it wasn't lunch and it wasn't dinner. We were looking for a watering hole to squat and pass some time before our dinner reservation at the fancy schmantzy Natalie's also in Camden.

We went upstairs and were greeted by Nick. With some promise of "trust me, it will be worth it..." nuance, he cleared a table for us by the railing.

And. Shut up.

Never disappoints. Every time we stop through Camden, we always grab lunch here. The lunch stuff is always delicious, but the desserts are legendary. The grasshopper bar is a must-have!

If only there were a zero stars option...

My father and I are both life long Mainer's and Camden is the favorite stop of ours and of my late mother's. After two years separated through the pandemic, we were excited to come back and stop in for lunch.

We ordered our sandwiches from the counter for Myself, Dad, my son and fiancé and sat at a table downstairs. It was extremely smokey and my father has lung issues, so we walked back to the counter and asked if we could collect our food and sit upstairs. View is fabulous, sandwiches are flavorful. But service is very slow even when seated and you may or may not get what you ordered. Sandwiches come with potato chips and a pickle. They are out of Diet Coke but do have been & wine selections.

The food is excellent with great variety on the menu. I gave them 4 stars as the attitude of the staff can only be described as ride. We ordered $50 worth of take out and being seniors wanted to sit down to wait for our order. We were told to wait outside and were ushered out until our order was ready.

Don't ask what type of pies they have because apparently their system of pointing to the case of unlabeled pies is a sufficient description for their other guests.

This restaurant has THE BEST sandwich I've ever tasted in my life!!! You HAVE to get the jalapeño popper grilled cheese! My daughter and I got one to split and loved it so much that we went back and bought a second. The staff is nice and you have a great view of Camden Harbor from their causal seating area. We also got a lemon blueberry cupcake and peanut butter cup brownie that were incredibly delicious. We can't wait to come back and make this a new favorite restaurant in midcoast Maine!

Loved this lunch! Had a tuna wrap and it was delicious. The perfect taste of tuna served with chips and a pickle. Ate outside on the patio with an amazing view of the harbor. Then finished with a desert of peanut butter chocolate cheesecake. The perfect meal after a hike up Mt. Battie!

Super slow service (especially if you sit at a table) but WORTH THE WAIT! These sandwiches are so good and easy to customize. We headed to refuel after hiking Mt Battie. Fantastic Focaccia and Monte Cristo are two of my faves.

Pro tip- life is short, get one (or four) of the desserts. So many homemade and delicious options!

Great sandwich's. Really slow service on the upper outside patio. It was a super nice day so we didn't mind. Didn't check for refills or how meal was, which would have mad a difference.

Yum!! The lobster roll was so delicious! Comes with pickle and chips. We also split a blueberry cheesecake crumble that was rich and filling! Ordering was super easy and quick, we walked around the shops for 5 minutes and came back to pick up.

Overly rude staff. I’m thinking it was the manager/owner. When I complained that my sandwich which I ordered on line was missing Mayo and lettuce he berated me for complaining rather than apologizing. I’ve never experienced anything like it.

VERY VERY poor customer service here today. They were rude with their responses to simple questions. Although the food may be adequate, a few lessons in kindness, gratitude, and thankfulness for being a patron would benefit their customers. Unfortunate to say the least.

This place is one of the best choices for lunch and a great view of the harbor. Great outside seating upstairs, friendly , efficient staff and great food .
The portabella mushroom sandwich was delightful. Even in this stressful time for a good business they were efficient and cheerful. Definitely a place to return to

The place is clean, staff is wearing masks, providing hand sanitizer, ensuring social distancing with their table arrangement on the deck and the view...the view is stunning! The food is tasty and prepared quickly. A must have experience in Camden

Great food and coffee! I had the lobster salad and my husband had a coffee and they were both delicious! The only complaint is that is gets crowded very quickly but we got there at a decent time where the crowd was small. Nice view and kind of peaceful looking out onto the water.

I enjoyed my meal thoroughly. I ate here with my family and we all enjoyed it. I feel the prices were fair and the selection was good. It’s standard pub type of food. You will not be disappointed. We ate out on the deck. The girl who waited on us was awesome. She was super friendly, attentive and professional with a great sense of humor. I recommend the Camden Deli!
