They helped me solve my issues even when the young man wasn't sure what i needed. He got help from another employee and stick with it until we finally figured it out. He didn't just pass me off or make me feel like an inconvenience. Good job.

If you've never been here, you're missing out! The place is huge and they carry all kinds of goodies from hardware to paint, to garden supplies. In the garden section, in December, I was amazed to find organic seedlings! Lettuce, cabbage, cauliflower, Asian greens, and all sorts of things that can be planted now as long as you protect them at night from frost. Awesome! The manager, Kevin, is super customer service focused and the staff is very friendly. Also love the fact that they carry the Benjamin Moore top of the line paints, and of course right across the parking lot is their lumber store

They always have what I need and if they don't, they find a way to get it! The staff is always friendly and helpful. It's a small town store that makes everyone feel like family!

You couldn't ask for a more complete shopping experience! Excellent employees! The garden center is a enjoyable walk. I like to stroll through and leave your worries behind!

This is my favorite hardware store to shop at! I don't mind driving from Turlock because they ALWAYS have the answer or will find it! Great store and AMAZING staff!

I'm a general contractor in Atwater specialising in home repairs and improvements so hardware stores are a regular visit. Hilmar Lumber not only has a vast selection of just about everything in, out, or around a house but they carry the hard to find things. They have a great staff that is always helpful friendly and knowledgeable. Yes almost too good to be true and yet they have competitive prices as well! Don't forget to stop by Hilmar Cheese Visitor center they have a deli counter, home decor, ice cream, coffee and more:)

What you want when you need it. That should be the motto here. Over the years I have purchased phone poles to lawn furniture always with good results. Recently they had some outdoor patio items on sale in the Sunday circular however they were closed on Sunday. They honored the add with a smile and questions asked. That's customer service in my book.

You can't beat the customer service here. I've had no fewer than 4 employees ask me if I needed any help just on my way to the back of the store. One thing I like is that they will cut just about anything to the size you need at very little extra cost. For example, I needed two lengths of black pipe of a specific length with the threads on both ends. They cut them to the exact length and threaded them for me then and there. I have also purchased replacement panes of glass for windows which they cut to the size I needed for about 1/2 the cost of an actual glass shop.

Place has been here as long as I can remember and I stop in weekly since moving to Hilmar 10 years ago.

Great selection of tools and they have just about anything you would need to fix stuff up around the house. They have a good selection of lumber and they also have a rental center stocked with various tools, tables, chairs and even heavy equipment (bobcat's, forklifts. etc).

You can even bring your dog in and they'll give them a treat so they have something to snack on while following you around the store.

My only gripe is that they are closed on Sundays which sucks because then
