It's a little out dated but get a room on the back side. Great shower and clean

The rooms was clean and the facility was in good shape... the owner was just concerned as he kept asking us why we rented the room. Even going as far as asking my son who was getting ice. If it was not for the fact he kept asking us it would have been 5 stars.

Southern Inn is a very clean an tidy motels I have ever had the experience of visiting. With very friendly staff, clean rooms, an big comfortable bed that you kinda just melt into lol. I give it a 5⭐👍

The service was great and very friendly, even when I had made reservations months in advance. Room was clean, water pressure was great, and the AC worked wonderfully. Motel is in a quiet area in Houston, Missouri. I am sure that I will be back again. Thank you for the hospitality.

Wasn't too pleased with the overall experience. Had a couple dogs with us for one night. ($15 per dog per night.) We were told at the desk to keep them quiet due to electricians or DOT workers in the room next to us were going to be in late and leave early. Those workers decided to throw a bit of a party right outside our room at like 9 pm. They were worried about us being noisy, but not them. Microwave didn't work. Fridge was off when we first got there so it took forever to refrigerate anything. Beds were comfy and TV worked decent. Shower had decent pressure. Just wasn't too pleased about being

Nice clean room for a quick night's visit. Felt very safe with 3 locks on the door and an actual real key- not those dumb slide card things.

Beds were really comfortable, Clean Clean Clean rooms these road weary travelers were happy to find this great stay.

Small motel but very clean and well maintained. The service was exceptional. Thank you for making a long day so much better. Truck parking!

Have stayed there a few times now, and the rooms are always clean (even when checked with UV light). I recommend getting a room with a king-size bed instead of two queens if practical, because the floor space gets a little tight with the queens.

Room was clean, bed comfy, great coffee. Owner very nice. Reasonably priced. Would stay again. Only four stars because no coffee in the room.

We had a wonderful time. The room was immaculate! Very clean and comfortable! I loved the decoration. They even had coffee in the morning! I would definitely recommend!

Charges more than the Comfort Inn in Springfield and did not clean my room for 5 straight days. I called and complained and was promised clean towels tomorrow. I was gone by then.

We stayed here last week since the other motel is fully booked. This is a hidden gem that no where to be found on Google when I was searching a place to stay when we were visiting Elk Creek Missouri. The price is affordable. Better rooms than Motel 6 for sure. It is a family owned business and the owner is real nice. There's Pizza Hut and Walmart right around the corner if you need a quick run for something. I'll recommend this place. And Oh it's pet friendly too!
