Westwood Cafe is located in beautiful downtown Spicer on the the Southwest side of Green Lake. We are a family friendly restaurant with an extensive menu as well as regular daily specials. We have several seating areas; whether you enjoy sitting on a stool at the front bar area, chatting with friends in a booth, or sharing a little more space around tables - we have it all.
Along with some of the best breakfast in central Minnesota, our menu also includes the tastiest soups and salads, sandwiches, appetizers, desserts, and specialty coffee.

Amazing food, great fries while they have fresh cut. Personally from all my years of experience in cooking, I would recommend slightly thicker fries if at all possible and cutting the fries the day before and placing them in a wash bin with cold water and put the bins in the cooler and use them as needed, if you don’t already I would advise using a digital timer to cook fries (350-375F is most ideal for cooking fries) also offering vinegar to your fries as an optional table side addition is a slight French style and brings out the flavour and taste. -:)

Pretty average breakfast place in western Minnesota, you've been to one, you've been to them all. Prices are fair, they're pretty quick on food (probably less than 10 minutes), and the food tastes alright. It's pretty busy in the morning but it's a nice place to go when you don't want to make breakfast.

Hands down the best breakfast spot in all of central Minnesota. Service is excellent and the food is always top notch. Our large family goes here every weekend we are in town, we all order different items, and everyone leaves with a smile and a full stomach. The chicken carnita skillet might be the best breakfast item in all of MN! But don't skip out on their caramel rolls!

Really solid and cheery place. Overall loved it.
I might add a few onions and green peppers to the hash browns, but that’s not for everyone.
Eggs over easy were perfectly cooked, and haven’t had corned beef hash in a long time. Theirs was very good. The rye toast was a bit on the done side.
I liked the way the server brought us a pot of coffee for the table. Not only could we will our cups at will, but it made it feel more like home. I was only visiting Spicer, and Westwood Café was a very homey, comfortable place to enjoy breakfast.
Right across the street from the lake. Can’t beat

Today was my first time eating at the Westwood cafe. I'm a little disappointed. Our food was ok, not great not bad. The service however, could have been a lot better. I ordered a curbside pickup order and tried calling the provided number when I arrived. The line was busy most of the time and when it finally rang there was no answer. I went inside with my mask on to get my order. I was not acknowledged by any of the 3 girls in the front. They were not working with another customer they were just talking amongst themselves. I finally got my order and checked my bank statement to make sure I

Crab Benedict Special one morning was the best I've had. They don't usually have it but I would guess they made their own crab cakes (which also as a benefit we're not "krab" but actual crab). Wick's wild rice sausages with breakfast adds another reason to enjoy breakfast here. They stay busy on weekends and close after lunch.

I'm usually quite bold about where I'll eat for breakfast because breakfast foods are incredibly simple. I ate here on a whim because yelp showed a 3.5 star rating. The service was great, servers were attentive and responsive. The restaurant wasn't extremely busy when we got there, but it wasn't empty either. That said, we waited 30-40 minutes to get our food and it was absolutely flavorless when we finally did. It had the appearance of regular food, smelled like the breakfast items that we'd ordered but was simply void of anything resembling flavor. I got hash browns,

I had stayed in a house on Green Lake diagonal from the Westwood Cafe a few years ago and had gone with my mom one morning and decided it was one of the best breakfast places we had been to. fast forward a few years, and we think the same of it. fast and friendly service, good food, and a good crowd of people. all I have to say is, if you can, try and stop by for a meal because you won't regret it!!

Love the food here, especially the Monte Cristo and the meatloaf sandwich. Since I'm a Spicer native, I enjoy all the historical decor.
One thing I do not like is that they have a TV in one corner, which really seems to be more for the staff than the guests. It was blaring the local news, while there was already music playing in the background. Very annoying.

We stopped in here for Sunday breakfast on the recommendation of the owners of the resort we were staying at. They said it was the best breakfast around. We thought it as really good! I had the Breakfast Burrito and my husband has the Bacon and Spinach Omelet. Both really good. My American fries were just OK - they could have had more seasoning. The wait staff was friendly and quick. It was a good experience.

Westwood Cafe was one of my favorite places to eat when I could get around to eating there on the weekdays, but after my last visit no matter how much I love the pancakes I will not return to this establishment. My family is multicultural. My fiance and I walked in with our 10 month old daughter on a Sunday and for several minutes the hosts kept passing us and never came over to seat us. A group of Caucasian patrons came in behind us and both hosts walked over to them and asked them how many were in their party and were swift to get them seated. We waited there patiently. I had to walk over to
