There's a rash of scam artists out there claiming to be locksmiths. They prey on people who urgently need their locks opened by quoting a low price over the phone, showing up, opening the lock in a destructive manner, and then pressuring the customer to pay exorbitant fees for their work. I'm not one of them.
Take note that I'll want to see some evidence that you have a right to enter the property. I may snap a photo of you or your ID. I never want to gouge you when you're stuck in a bad spot and just want to get into your car or home, but I will charge a little more if I have to leave the dinner table or roll out of bed to come help you out.

David showed up early, he got ahead of schedule and called that he was on his way. Which was extra nice for me. We needed to rekey our front door and we wanted to have the door to the garage, an exterior door rekeyed. So that we could use one key for both doors. But he determined that the garage door leaver the key hole was different, and he showed me the difference. So we replace that leaver with a round knob. He rekeyed our front door lock and it actually works better, keys slide and turn the deadbolt with ease. He even asked us at what position was the interior knob in the lock position, horizontal

David was super easy to coordinate with! Per his voicemail I left the enquiry on his website. He called back within few hours to confirm the rekey task and setup a time.
Transparent pricing on his website was also very very convenient!
On the day of, David was extremely responsive on the call and actually was able to arrive earlier in the day! He was quick in the rekey task and promptly answered my other questions regarding smart locks etc.

David is prompt, professional and extremely easy to work with. His pricing is upfront and very reasonable. He was very accommodating and gave us an earlier appointment than the one we had previously scheduled because something opened up on his calendar at the last minute. We had 7 locks to rekey and David did the job within an hour. He arrived on time and was fast, efficient and thorough. While rekeying the water heater enclosure, he noticed a leak and went out of his way to recommend a quick solution to mitigate an emergency. I would definitely recommend him and would work with him again.

Dave was everything you would hope you would fine in a locksmith. Integrity, honest, happy to do great work and overall an awesome person. I guess that's really what we would hope fore in anyone but Dave's got it in spades when he came out to rekey our house he didn't gouge us on price but gave us an overly fair price (was expecting multiple 100's of dollars and came out to even 100.) I've been in Washington a minute and never once have I been able to say I felt like I got a bargain, but Dave fit the bill. I called David The Locksmith on a Tuesday afternoon, David answered the phone personally. David said he could be at my house the next day. (This wasn't an emergency call) David phoned ahead to advise he was on his way, which was earlier than expected. He showed up and was professionally dressed and went straight to work in installing two locks in the door, one was a deadbolt. David's finished product was outstanding! The charge was more than reasonable and definitely fair. I highly recommend David The Locksmith!

David was timely, efficient, and professional. He replaced a deadbolt and a mailbox lock for me and gave me advise on how to set up a new garage clicker by myself. He laid out all of his costs in an email and I paid the same amount it would have cost to have a different locksmith just show up (I checked). David has helped me out 3x over the past 10 years at my building. He is very knowledgeable, fast, and as others have said somewhat underpriced. However as a fellow business owner I see the wisdom of this because it generates more business in the long run and a lot of loyal followers to refer their friends and write Yelp reviews.

Dave is really great to work with and very professional. He’s clear on what locks to use and took his time to do the job right. I had three deadbolts to install and about 10 locks to rekey (new house). I’m so glad we found him to do the work. We tried another service that was not good before him. I’d recommend him to anyone.

If you are on yelp and looking for a locksmith, stop reading other reviews and call or email David. You won't be sorry. Excellent experience from email correspondence, to scheduling a good time, to installing 2 locks and re-keying a shed knob. Price is super reasonable and the work was done quickly. I didn't know re-keying would be so reasonably priced, so now I can return the knob I had bought thinking it would need replacement. David suggested a re-key and it worked. He also helped me program my e-lock he installed before he left. And wore a mask. 5/5 all day!

I cannot recommend David highly enough! After locking myself out of my house this morning, he showed up within half an hour, fixed one broken lock, rekeyed two locks, and looked at two other locks that have bugged me for years. He was prompt, easy to work with, did not mind questions and was very professional. His bill was so reasonable, I felt like I was underpaying him for his time. He did not try to sell me any new hardware I didn't need. I would highly recommend him to friends and family. Would definitely call him again if I ever need an honest, capable locksmith.
