Bright Star Child and Adolescent Psychiatry is now open to Tennessee children and teens via video conferencing to help address their mental health needs. If your child or teen is having symptoms of prolonged anxiety, depression, or other mood issues, Dr. Easter can assess your child remotely and recommend treatment options, including prescription medications.

Fees are $200 for the first video visit and $100 for follow ups. Dr. Cynthia J. Easter is a board-certified pediatrician with extensive experience in providing family-centered psychiatric care to children and adolescents in East Tennessee. After completing her residency, Dr. Easter moved to Maryville, her husband's hometown, and has served as a pediatrician in Blount County since 2007.
Services
To make an appointment, please call our office at (865) 724-1590 and we will email the registration packet. After the information is received, we will call to confirm the first appointment. Let us know if you do not have access to the internet and the packet will be mailed to you. Please understand that your child may be required to attend appointments during school hours.
Bright Star is in-network with Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, Cigna, Tricare, and United Healthcare insurances. Other insurance plans are not accepted at this time. Tennessee laws do not allow self-payment for those covered by TennCare or Medicaid. We do accept self-payment for children in network with CoverKids.
Cancellations: Appointments must be cancelled 24-hours in advance. Missed appointments without a call will incur a no-show fee ($50 for follow-ups, $100 for the first appointment). Patients who miss three appointments in a row will be dismissed from the practice. Being late to appointments: Patient arriving more than 10 minutes late for scheduled appointments may have to reschedule and be charged a fee.
