Services
The Math Made Simple, Etc. program endeavors to assist students' efforts and to successfully navigate them through the rigors of competitive higher education. By working collaboratively with tutorial faculty and staff, the program helps a diverse learner population develop higher level critical thinking skills.
Math Made Simple offers a 12-week program that provides strategic and individualized academic support in the areas of mathematics up to 8 hours and/or English up to 6 hours of instruction. The individualized plans are designed to reinforce past learning, build upon current classroom learning and prepare a solid foundation for future success.
Our Mathematics Technicians can handle everything from basic counting and learning numbers up to college math and beyond! Our founder, Cornelius Barnes has put together a diverse team that operates out of our building and in various schools around the city of Memphis. The members of this group include Daja' Scurlock, Alexie Akah II, Terry Jones, and Tian Liu.
The Greater Memphis Chamber staff and Ambassadors were excited to join Cornelius Barnes, owner of Math Made Simple, for a ribbon cutting at location located at 7189 Stage Road, Bartlett, Tenn. 38133. Math Made Simple was gracious enough to answer a few of our questions so that the community can have a better understanding of Math Made Simple's mission and vision for the future.
Math Made Simple, Etc. has devised an academic Summer Success Program that promotes the love and value of reading, writing, and mathematics by modeling ways in which they all apply to the real world. Here we offer a summer program for a minimum of 4 weeks. The program is for students who are going the 1st grade all the way up to students heading to the 11th grade, call us today for details.

My son attended the tutoring services and often complained about the treatment of one of the staff members. If he didn’t got an answer correct this staff would made comments to him like “are you drunk”, so unprofessional! I discontinued the service due to the constant complaints about staff and you are unable to pick a tutor. Child usually get whoever is available The owner is really nice and my son did liked him but his other employees are the ones that are rude towards the kids. The price is excellent and very affordable

Very rude person, very rude to children, and has bad communication skills. Would not recommend these tutoring services to anyone.

I went here thinking they could help me learn the Math to pass my nursing exam. Not only did I not pass, I studied Really hard and still failed, I didn’t learn anything from here. Waste of $195 I would not recommend them for adults. Not enough teachers or tutors for the amount of kids. Total waste of time and money.

My son attended a summer program to help strengthen his math skills.
Pros
1. It was easy to set up a payment plan. They were very accommodating.
2. The daily progression through activities and assignments seemed to flow smoothly even with large class sizes.
Cons
1. The class sizes are to large for the space provided in my opinion.
2. My son expressed to me often of the staff being rude to other children.
3. Poor selection of healthy lunch options provided. (Non existent)
4. My son did not improve in Math.
