Friday night’s (10/22/21) presentation of Alice in Wonderland was a thoroughly exhilarating experience!
What a treasure the OKC Ballet is for our community.
The dancing was superb and the music top notch. Additionally my physical perspective being from box seating enabled me to see back stage, have a more intimate interaction with props and a perspective on lighting that was possibly enhanced beyond what others may have seen.
The art of coordination that must go into every production was fascinating to observe. I found the staging and props particularly intriguing. Not only were they beautiful

If you haven't bought tickets for Alice in Wonderland, now is your chance to experience a delightful story with gorgeous costumes, live philharmonic music, entertaining special effects including flying, and the top-notch performance by a diverse company of dancers whose artistry, athleticism and technique are a joy to watch.
The live Orchestra is conducted by the composer of the music for this ballet. I won't spoil the show, but the puppetry especially at the end is the icing on a delicious story cake. The costume design is a world class visual feast.
Come see contemporary ballet at its finest

Extraordinary! I had the absolute pleasure of attending Alice in Wonderland. Everything about this production - the choreography, the costumes, the set, the lights, the sheer athleticism of the performers - is all simply breathtaking. What a wonderful experience 🤗

My experience growing up in relation to ballet solely consisted of The Nutcracker. Not that that's a big thing, I just knew nothing beyond that. Now that I'm an adult and have had a chance to see multiple ballets, I can appreciate the art form in a more complex way. OKC Ballet is truly world-class as we have dancers from all over the country and beyond, along with world premieres of ballets. We are lucky to have such a talented group in our city. From the sets and costumes to the beautiful choreography, they are putting on truly masterful productions. If you have a chance to see one of

My first experience with ballet was last year when I saw the Firebird here. I was blown away by the theater, the show and the dancers. What a show. Looking forward to seeing more ballet, so spectacular.

Okay, so it's not the bolshoy, not even the Joffrey, but it still ballet. If you like the beauty of the dance, of the human body moving in regular rhythms and forms, to tell a story, then you will love the Oklahoma City Ballet. Of course they always do the traditional Nutcracker at Christmas time, but they perform other ballets at other times of year and all of them are wonderful.

I'm sure that if I rated The Oklahoma Ballet every time that I attend a show; I would say that it was the best I've seen. The Oklahoma Ballet continuously impresses me. The costumes, lighting, and choreography are wonderful. I attended a Monday performance of The Nutcracker. I absolutely loved the snow scene. The ballerinas were wonderfully poised and the costumes were beautiful. Likewise, the Philharmonic orchestra played wonderfully and the civic center transformed into a wonderful story which transpired as we looked on. If, you have never attended a performance by the Oklahoma Ballet

I'm not the biggest ballet fan however I love the concept and the music which makes it relaxing. It's nice to see OKC have it! Every time I come here I feel very "classic" if you will.

I really enjoy the OKC Ballet. I am not the biggest fan of the crowded seating in this particular location. There are some who I am lucky enough to sit next to that I really don't want to get to know better, but the crowded seating doesn't present an alternate choice.
The ticket price is very realistic. Concessions are appropriate and I enjoy utilizing them.

The Sleeping Beauty was my first ballet and I have to say... I really enjoyed it. There has always been jokes about how ballets can be a huge snooze fest, but I was fully entertained. The costumes were just beautiful. I couldn't get over the colors, my eyes were just drawn to the stage. The music was just the icing on the cake. I couldn't get enough. I shocked how my emotions can be portrayed with no words.

I took my husband and he was surprised how much he enjoyed it as well. Next time will take my daughter too. I didn't realize that this was a performance for the whole family

I can't say enough great things about the OKC Ballet! Their performers are really top notch as well as all of the performances they put on. I recently saw the "Nutcracker" & was blown away by how intimately the dancers could tell the story without saying a word. They all seem to truly love what they do! Each song was greeted by whimsical music & incredible body movement.

Aside from the skill level of the performers (which is phenomenal) they also have beautiful costumes to accentuate their movement. If you ever have a chance to go see a performance at the Civic center, I

I'm 34 & have never been to the ballet. It exceeded my expectations! Peter Pan blew me away, I enjoyed it as much as my 14 year old daughter who attended with me! It was such a great performance. Very entertaining, Captain Hook & the pirates stole the show! The Philharmonic played beautifully, the set design & costumes were bright & fun. We had such a wonderful time, we will be finding another performance to get tickets for! Thumbs up!!

The OKC Ballet has really impressed me in the 2014-2015 season. I was lucky enough to go to The Nutcracker and Romeo & Juliet. Thanks to a large donation to the OKC Ballet, the costumes, sets, and props were all new. The choreography was all new too. What a nice refreshing look to some beloved ballets.

I didn't care for a lot of the choreography in The Nutcracker. I've been to quite a few productions, and this one steered the furthest from traditional than any others. Not something I'd expect for such a classic ballet. Though, I'm sure some found it refreshing for

I saw the nutcracker put on by the OKC baller and I must say "They did fabulous"
Great well trained graceful dancers
Absolutely great use of the stage and props. I truly loved the little details! Especially the snowflakes.
Normally I don't get too into the ballet but this show was perfect. I couldn't find anything negative and it kept me entertained through the entire show. Flawless performance.
I have also seen Carmen put on by okc ballet loved it but they outdid themselves with the nutcracker. Can't wait to see more shows!

As an early Christmas gift my boyfriend took me here to see the last performance of The Nutcracker and it was absolutely amazing.

The performance was to die for. I cannot express how beautiful it was. I will just say this, they really outdid theirselves. The stage set was perfection. The performers all on point. Costumes were lovely. The show was perfect in every way and I plan on going to the next production in February.

Thank you for my first OKC Ballet experience and a lifetime of beautiful memories.

5 stars all the way!

I must shamefully admit I have never been to a ballet performance. It was such a treat to attend the Oklahoma City Ballet performance of The Nutcracker. Not only was it beautiful but wonderfully danced with an amazing cast.

Kudos to the set designers as they helped bring this story to life. Everyone who attended instantly transported to these fictitious destinations. They took full advantage of the space and even the air as the two main characters sailed from the sky.

The costume designers need a raise and award for their wonderful costumes. They were exceptionally vibrant and helped bring

I have danced all my life, but had never been to a ballet show in Oklahoma City because none of the shows really sparked my interest. When I saw Cinderella coming, I was ecstatic! Unfortunately, the dates fell on a pretty busy weekend for me so I held off on buying tickets, before Julie, Yelp's OKC community manager, kindly offered tickets the week before the show. My sister and I went and we loved it! The dancing was beautiful of course, along with the costumes and everything else about it. I also really love how the Civic Center does themed drinks for different shows. We had the "glass

Just saw the company's production of Carmen, which was very engaging. However, what really blew me away was the production of a piece called Exurgency. Amazing choreography and a hauntingly beautiful score. Not at all what I would've expected in OKC. Simply stunning, and cool enough to actually make me consider getting a season ticket package. Well done, OKC Ballet; well done.
