You can find us nestled in the dunes of Gulf Shores, Orange Beach, and Perdido Key. We have been professionally serving the Gulf Coast area full time since 2001.

I booked a small family picture session with my 2 1/2 year old son. I was super nervous about how long my son’s attention span would last with paying for beach pictures. But all I can say after our session and receiving our pictures is WOW! Ryan was AMAZING with my little one! He was able to grab his attention how ever he needed too and was able to keep his attention for almost the solid hour we were there. I was amazed and my family was amazed as well!

My fiancé and I had just got engaged and him and his father surprised me with a photo shoot with sunshots. I could not have picked out better photographers! Ryan was amazing! He spent a lot of time with us and took lots of photos to make sure we got plenty that we loved, which we did! Maggie and Ryan were very easy to communicate with and were in frequent contact with us about the potential rain and scheduling. They answered every question we had and were very friendly! Ryan was very knowledgeable in how to pose us and he made sure that everything was perfectly in place for each individual photo

Our experience with Sun shots photography was Amazing. I Found them online and from there started our great experience. I was able to speak with them directly from scheduling our family beach photos and kept in contact via email as well. Response was always quick and I never had any doubt that our pictures and session would go any other way but great!. When we had our session, the couple was so personal and we talked the entire time like we were friends. Ryan and Maggie were amazing with our kids and you can tell that their heart is truly centered around developing amazing pictures that are captured

What sealed the deal for me was their great pricing AND the fact that they actually interact with people via social media. That's huge for me.
A week or so before our arrival I was freaking about pairing outfits for my husband and me. They quickly responded on a weekend and I was so grateful.
We had our photos done Friday evening. They suggested cute poses for us and even took a few solo. Maggie was nearby and

I contacted a number of photographers in the Gulf Shores area to help me with a surprise proposal, but Ryan at Sun Shots was the only one of them to give me his personal number to call and discuss options. I called immediately and he was incredibly personal and helpful. He offered insight and advice on the setting and timing to make for great photos (something that I was clueless on). He made our special day one that we will never forget by taking us out on his boat to a little secluded island in the bay under the ruse of a dolphin cruise. Ryan was an awesome captain for our family on the private charter! He is extremely knowledgeable about the history of the area. We were able to see dolphins and even get out of the boat on the neatest underwater island and walk around too see the fish and hermit crabs. The boat was built by Ryan and was super cool with a smooth ride. My teenagers even got to drive the boat! We opted for the additional photo package and the photos turned out amazing!!! Get the photo package....you won't be disappointed!! The entire trip was worth every penny!!

This was our second time to have family portraits made by Sun Shots. The photographer Ryan and Maggie, had a great location picked out for our shoot. Our youngest was fussy and uncooperative, but he was great in working around it. In the end he got everyone smiling, including little Mrs. Contrary. This is the only photographer couple we will use for our beach photos. He has a great eye and finds shots most photographers might miss. That shell eating frog puppet was genius Maggie!

We contacted Sun Shots because my grandmother, who is in hospice, was declining and we wanted to have photos done with her. I described the situation to Maggie and Ryan, and that she wasn't able to go far and the lighting might not be great where we were. They were fabulous, and flexible, and wonderful with her and with us. All of the photos were excellent, and the poses that we took with grandma were beautiful and intimate. Then the rest of the family headed to the beach and we had a more traditional photo shoot there with our 15-month old. They were great with him, they used puppets

We recently had pictures taken of our family of 11 while at Gulf Shores. The kids ranged from 3-9 years old. Ryan and Maggie were amazing! They were very good with the kids and captured amazing photos of the big group as well as our immediate families. I couldn't have been more pleased with Sunshots. From the photo shoot to the finished pictures, Sun Shots is top notch!
